📣 We’re growing the Spinnaker parkrun Event Team!
Spinnaker parkrun is organised entirely by volunteers, and while we already have a fantastic group of Run Directors and regular volunteers who make Saturday mornings happen, there’s also a little bit of work that goes on behind the scenes each week.
At the moment, much of that work is shared between a very small number of people, so we’d love to grow our Core Event Team and spread the load a little more.
We’re looking for 2–4 people who are regular members of our Spinnaker parkrun community and would be interested in getting a little more involved in helping us keep the event running smoothly.
This could include things like:
• Helping coordinate our weekly volunteer roster
• Assisting with communications and social media
• General event administration
• Helping with some of the little jobs that happen behind the scenes
We’re not looking for someone to take all of this on! The idea is to build a small team so these jobs can be shared and no one person has to carry too much of the workload.
You don’t need to be available every Saturday, and you certainly don’t need to give up running or walking parkrun every week. We want to build something flexible that works around everyone.
If you love being part of Spinnaker parkrun and think you might enjoy being a little more involved, we’d love to hear from you.
Have a chat with Brendan or Jacqui on Saturday, or send us a message.
