The Glebe District Hockey Club est. 20 Dec 1931 is one of the premier hockey clubs in Sydney.
Featuring Men, Women & Juniors players it is a great family club and has provided the people of Glebe and surrounding suburbs with a place to socialise and enjoy the great game of hockey for 90 years.

Our ML6 queens take on Sutherland this Sunday, and we could not be prouder of how they've got here. No coach? No problem. This team has rallied for each other week after week, backed themselves and played with pure joy - and it shows.

✨ First up is another SF, Friday, 28th August, as our U14 Hornets hit the pitch for a spot in the North Area GF!
✨ Saturday sees the U10 & U12 Strikers head to Kyeemagh for their preliminary final matches … hoping to join the U10 Wasps & U12 Redbacks in the SEHA GF!

🏑 Glebe Hockey - player milestone alert 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣
Congrats to Dylan Yates, SL5 mid fielder on his 100th club game. For much of his club hockey career, Dylan formed one half of a tenacious defensive double-act in the SL4/5 backline with the great John Cullen. Enough last-ditch tackles and goal-saving deflections between them to warrant a YouTube channel! After John's retirement Dylan has been roaming further into the midfield and beyond (he likes the spot light 🤣) and equal third-highest goal scorer for SL5 this season and regular in the player's player line up.
He's a legend, we love him! Congrats on the century Dyl.

And there we have it folks! Another season done. We fought to the bitter end, never giving up - congrats to all the teams and players.
ML6 are finals bound! 🙌 Time to get behind these queens who have taken the field by storm.

✨ U14 Minor Premiers!
A huge congrats to our U14 Hornets for taking out the 2026 U14 North Area Minor Premiership!
The Hornets are our inaugural GDHC team entered into the NA competition, outside of our Metro teams. And didn’t they absolutely kill it!
They remained undefeated throughout their season, and their only non-win was a hard-fought draw!
A big shout out to Coach Dean, and Manager Jen, who have created a truly special Glebe community for the players & their families 🤍
Also have to mention the parents & carers, as the team travelled a bit more than usual on cold winter nights, ensuring the Hornets had a full team sheet at almost all games, and full roster at training.
The Hornets schedule is a week behind the SEHA Junior teams, so their semi-final is coming up on Friday.

Our juniors are showing us what this is all about! We are committed to our junior program and we are thrilled to see our young and rising stars playing for the love of it.
HUGE congratulations to the 6 SEHA Juniors teams that had their semis this weekend.
Extra shout out to our 4 finalists, some straight through to the grand final! And some into the prelim finals next week.
