Congratulations to all of these students who performed at Royal South Street over the past two days. Unlike never before we had to change every troupe every day in the lead up. A serious series of unfortunate events! We love going to Ballarat. The standard is exceptionally high and the committee and volunteers who pull it all together are incredible. Personally , I’d like to thank Miss Leah for managing everything without me, Wei-Ee for assisting her and Kelly from The Academy of Classical Ballet for helping me when I so desperately needed it. Thank you 🙏. To the incredible students I am so proud of all of you. To your parents for managing the logistics with travel. Miss A ❤️

Our troupe weekend at Southern dance Festival was a huge success and a heap of fun despite the challenging and unpredictable lead up. So proud of our incredible students, you performed beautifully. Huge thanks to our incredible team of teachers and volunteers at this comp. Miss Leah, Miss Ruby, Miss Milie and Georgie, Claire, Clare, Kara and Wei Ee. And of course to the wonderful team of volunteers at SDF for giving us this opportunity to perform in such a beautiful theatre.
So wonderful to have such big sections for troupes from studios who are equally passionate about what is presented on the stage. Bravo to all involved. Miss Amber 🥰

Wishing all of the fathers, grandfathers and special father figures a very happy day today. Happy Father’s Day to my wonderful dad Dennis who follows all that happens here at GISD and was the best ‘ballet dad’ ever! Miss Amber 😘

Our dedicated Half-Day Program students were extremely fortunate to be examined today by Sian Stokes, former principal artist of The Australian Ballet Company .

This program has been created, developed and taught by Miss Kerrie Macarthur for the past 11 years. A truly exceptional teacher who we are so thankful to have at GISD. We are so grateful for her dedication and commitment to this program.

We are equally thankful to Miss Chiara Ferri for her wonderful work with the students on their variation solos.

We must also give a huge thank you to Miss Jayne Beddoe who has coached our extension students Milla and Dominik.

A wonderful day of achievement, we are so very proud of you all,

Miss Amber and Miss Jo

We have been associated with more than 20 secondary schools to give our students the opportunity to maintain a strong academic focus whilst extending their ballet training. A blend of 2 half-days taught by Miss Kerrie McArthur combined with after school syllabus classes. Our entire team brings a diverse, challenging and wholistic approach to the program. We support the individual on goal setting and finding realistic pathways towards elite full time academies.
