A huge shout out to all the schools that got involved in this years City to Casino Fun Run and to all the teachers, parents and families that came along and enjoyed the morning. So many smiles and lots of fun trying to beat the apple or their principal / nominated person from the school 🏃🏃‍♀️‍➡️🍎

Congratulations to the following schools who won our 2 schools prize categories and also $500 for their school.

Largest School number overall
1. Lansdowne Crescent Primary School - 89 students
2. Cambridge Primary School - 67 students
3. Mount Nelson Primary School - 57 students

Largest School (Based on number of students attending the school)
1. Lansdowne Crescent Primary School - 23.48% (89/ out of 379)
2. Mount Nelson Primary School - 23.26% (57/ out of 245)
3. Cambridge Primary School 18.01% (67/ out of 372)

Its so great to see almost a quarter of the school population running, what an outstanding effort by these schools, with 26 schools involved overall. It really was so close coming down to one student making the difference in numbers in our second category.

Its important to share and highlight here that Lansdowne Crescent Primary School on the day decided to share their win with Mount Nelson Primary School (because it was so close) and in a great show of sportsmanship gave their second $500 cheque to Mount Nelson Primary School. What a great gesture and recognising the effort of so many energetic students.

We look forward to more schools being involved in 2027 and be ready the apple is already out there training in the Hansen Orchards to see how many they can beat next year 🍎

It was amazing to see the support that the Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania stall was getting yesterday - the line was even bigger than the coffee van!
