A mixed bag for our Magpies in the first round of finals, with our U/18 girls straight through to the Grand Final, alongside our Senior and Reserve men progressing to the Preliminary Final this Sunday!

Unfortunately, our U/18 boys' and Senior women's seasons are finished but we would love to congratulate them on great seasons!

Congratulations to Jordan West on achieving one of the Glenorchy Football Club’s highest honours — Life Membership. ⚫️⚪️

Jordan, better known as “Westie” to everyone from our youngest Auskickers to our longest-serving members, joins an exclusive group whose service and dedication have left a lasting impact on the Glenorchy Football Club.

From playing his junior football at Glenorchy, to his first official game in 2013 and senior debut in 2022, Westie’s contribution has always extended far beyond the field.

A two-time Club Person of the Year (2019 & 2023), current Auskick Coordinator, 2025 Tasmanian Auskick Volunteer of the Year, former Junior Coordinator, junior and youth coach, youth premiership coach, reserves coach, board member, mentor and volunteer, he has dedicated countless hours to making our club stronger.

Whether it has been developing young players, supporting families, coaching teams, serving on committees or simply stepping up whenever needed, Westie has always put the club first.

Life Membership is awarded to those whose commitment leaves a lasting legacy. Few are more deserving than Westie.

Congratulations and thank you for everything you have given to the Glenorchy Football Club. Your passion, dedication and service have helped shape our club, and your legacy will continue to be felt for generations to come. ⚫️⚪️

Finals time is here!

Our Magpies will be in action across three venues over two days this weekend as they chase premiership glory.

We'd love to see the Magpie family out in force at any of the games, showing their support for our teams as they take to the field in pursuit of success. ⚫️⚪️

Congratulations also goes to Jack Males on reaching the incredible milestone of 100 games for the Glenorchy Football Club this weekend!

Jack is a Glenorchy boy through and through, coming through the ranks of our club and proudly pulling on the black and white throughout his football journey.

Over the past couple of seasons, Jack has taken a huge step forward in his football, setting the standard at training through his work ethic, professionalism and commitment. Just as importantly, he has become a fantastic role model for our young and emerging Magpies.

100 games is a fantastic achievement and a milestone that is thoroughly deserved.

Congratulations, Jack! We’re incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to watch the next 100 games. 🖤🤍

This weekend, we celebrate a truly special milestone as Mackie Sutcliffe becomes a Playing Life Member of the Glenorchy Football Club.

Making her senior debut for the Magpies in 2018 at just 19 years of age, Mackie has gone on to become one of the most accomplished and influential players in the history of our women's program.
Her achievements in the black and white are nothing short of outstanding:

Mackie's talent and dedication were recognised beyond Tasmania when she made her VFLW debut for North Melbourne in Round 8 on 14 May 2023. She would go on to play 11 games for the Kangaroos, proudly representing both herself and the Glenorchy Football Club at the state league level.

While her accolades on the field are remarkable, Mackie's contribution to the Magpies extends far beyond football. Through her leadership, mentorship, and commitment to developing younger players, she has helped shape the culture and success of our women's program.

To become a Playing Life Member is one of the highest honours our club can bestow, recognising not only excellence on the field but a lasting contribution to the Glenorchy Football Club.

Congratulations, Mackie, on this richly deserved recognition. Your achievements, leadership, and dedication have left an indelible mark on our football club, and we are proud to welcome you as a Playing Life Member of the Glenorchy Football Club.
