Ice-Skating Tasmania

Officially closed now and no longer an ice rink. This will most probably be the final post. Take care everyone.

For those who have not heard the news! The rink is now closed. We are in the process of packing and moving out🥲

Memorabilia? If anyone wants a pair of used ice skates please visit the rink between 12 and 5pm on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29th.

From opening night in 1980 to closing night in 2022. Thank you to our skating community for your support over the last 42 years. We will miss our little patch of ice.

Don't forget today's special session with live broadcast by ABC. 4pm to 6pm. Will be lots of fun with demonstrations etc
Our last session before we close for good will be on Saturday 21st, 8-9.30pm.

It will be a sad day to say goodbye to those we regard as friends. People we have known and respected for many years. 🙏

ABC, 'DRIVE on ice' from the rink on Thursday 4-6pm. Come on down, and for some it will be a final farewell to skating in Tasmania 😢 - normal entry prices apply.

Holiday sessions are now in full skating mode!!! Get on down if you want to have a go, if you've never done it before or if you just love this beautiful and invigorating sport. The rink closes its doors at 9.30pm, 21st May 2022 so don't miss out.
