Five Future Aussie Golf Stars Tee Off on the World Stage

NexGen Juniors Qualify for U.S. Kids World Championships at Pinehurst
It’s official, Northern Golf Club is sending five of its brightest young talents to one of the world’s most prestigious junior golf tournaments. In July 2025, five rising stars from our Elite NexGen Junior Academy will travel to Pinehurst, North Carolina to compete in the U.S. Kids Golf World Championships, a global showdown featuring top junior golfers from over 50 countries.

Rising Northern junior golf star Sam Machado has already started and is proudly flying the flag for Australia at the prestigious U.S. Kids Golf World Teen Championship in Pinehurst, North Carolina, one of the most iconic junior golf tournaments on the global stage.

Competing in the fiercely competitive Boys Under 14 Division, Sam opened his campaign with a solid round of 77, a commendable effort in 34C heat, on grainy, testing greens, and against a truly elite international field. Despite the tough conditions, Sam currently sits in 69th place, with the tournament leader at 4 under par.

We’re incredibly proud of Sam and can’t wait to watch his continued progress over the coming days as he battles it out on the world stage. Sam is the only Australian to qualify in the field for the world championships in his age group
