๐Ÿ‰ What a day for semi-finals! ๐Ÿ‰
Huge day of rugby out there today โ€” the intensity, the effort, the team spirit was on full display.
Huge congratulations to our teams going through to finals next week! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ”ฅ So proud of every player who put it all on the line today. Bring on the finals! ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ‰

Huge thanks to Domino's Pizza Bella Vista and Mad Mex Norwest for sponsoring our pkayer of the match vouchers!

Match Reports โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿค

๐Ÿ”น๏ธ10 Red
A tough day in the office for our U10 reds against an undefeated Raptors team. We had to have 2 forwards playing out of position in our back line before having to finish the game one man short. In what was a tough 4 days leading up to game day, the resilience and mental toughness the kids was admirable to see. As a team that started in B's and moved to A's and finish with a semi final appearance we couldn't ask for more. To see the smiles and the "see you next year" was great to see after a heavy loss. The kahoa lole was a hit. Who doesn't like a necklace of chocolates?

๐Ÿ”น๏ธ10 Blue
Under 10 Blues Norhawks through to the Grand Final from 4th place, defeating Minor Premiers Norths Pirates 30-7. The kids were unbelievable. They put the opposition under pressure at every play and tackled their hearts out. Their hard work off the line saw the Norhawks earn at least 75% possession, and they were relentless at converting it into points. Their best game of the year by a country mile!

๐Ÿ”น๏ธ 11 Blue
The u11 Blues went to the run away league leaders, Lindfield, and battled bravely going down 53-12. The scoreline does not reflect the play as they gave Lindfield a really good game and got the better of the exchanges at scrum time and at the breakdown. Ultimately Lindfieldโ€™s speed of play and foot made the difference.
The coaches are incredibly proud of the enormous progress the team has made over the season, typified by the brave performance today.
A number of the players were battling illness and injury and they all battled until the end. The future is bright for this group who have hopefully enjoyed the season as much as the coaches have enjoyed helping guide them.
There were some standout performances today and the awards went to:
Dominos Players Player - Felix
Dominos Coaches Player - Jamie
Mad Mex Values - Marcus

Good luck to all who have made it to a final next week!

๐Ÿ”น๏ธ11 Red
U11s Red had a tough grinding win against an u11 Easts Beasties team that wanted to win this semi and make the finals just as bad. They got away to a good start and we were left playing catch up for most of the 1st half, but the team stuck to their structures, and patiently kept executing the game plan into half time, with us scoring before the break.
2 tries in the 2nd half, one which was converted gave us the buffer we needed to hang on, and a late Beasties try wasn't enough. Defence worked really well and held when it mattered, set pieces were good, our rucks need tidying up though.
No major injuries. A good place to be leading into the Finals next Sunday.
Final score: 19-12 our way

๐Ÿ”น๏ธU12
The U12s are through to the Grand Final ๐Ÿฅณ
Allowing Raptors to score first, they battled hard to gain the lead, with the powerhouse forwards crossing for the first few tries. Some great discipline saw a lengthy number of phases to score and head into half time 21โ€“10.
The Raptors came out firing in the second half to end up 3 points ahead. Our team reset themselves and our backs combined to push us to 28-24.
The final 5 minutes of play was spent in our own 22 with a number of scrums & penalties, causing the hearts of the parents & coaching staff to soar!!
But the team held on and are off to the big dance next week!

๐Ÿ”น๏ธU13 Blue
U13 Blue into the GF after defeating Newport 29-27. Another heart stopper after a slow start where the opponents ran out to a 3 try lead early before we decided to come play, going to the break down by 7 points.
After Newport extended their lead they thought they had it in the bag but we stuck with it and got to within 3 points with 5 to go. Back to back penalties due to the running pressure we applied saw us march down field after the clock wound down, and a literal all in maul looked like the ref would blow full time but we kept moving forward. Eventually we broke away from the maul with about 13 of the Newport team tied up to go over from 5 metres out to take the lead for the first time in the match right on full time for a thrilling victory.

๐Ÿ”น๏ธU13 Red
U13 reds took on the Raptors red in the semis today and went down 50 -5. The scoreline doesn't reflect the efforts of our team, our boys tried to the very end. We limped into the finals with 15 fit players and played the best part of the second half with 13. Brayden was our player of the match who chased down everything with some super human efforts. Special mention to Daniel and Jnr who kept us going forward when we had possession. Our boys will be back bigger and better next season. Goodluck to all those teams who are playing Grandfinals next week.

๐Ÿ”น๏ธOpens
Our Opens went down to Narrabeen in todayโ€™s semis.
We certainly werenโ€™t expecting to take the field short today, but unfortunately, thatโ€™s been the story of our season. After being plagued by injuries and player availability all year, our 14 boys once again dug deep and gave it everything they had.
The Tigers were simply too fast today, and when we were reduced to 13 players in the first few minutes, the extra space and the depth of a full squad of 23 proved too much for our boys to overcome.
Well done, boys. Youโ€™ve battled through so much this season and not stopped turning up for each other.
