Race Wrap - 09.10.26

Dodge Valley Motorplex saw 9 drivers enter into the weekly trifecta of races, this week featuring Vintage GP, Trans-am vs Australian V8 Bathurst Legends + Open GT.

Racing commenced with Vintage GP on Hellcat Pass & some close battles ensued with Woodstock, Professor, Guru & Dodgie featuring on the heat winners list while Bazza, Brett, Bruce, Alby & Tony all managed second place finishes.

Woodstock & Professor both took a hatrick of heat wins but a damaged crown gear saw him limp home in his final heat to curtail his aspirations of an overall victory, although he did set the fastest lap time prior to this mechanical issue.

Professor took the overall win by 0.75 of a lap from Guru (2 wins + 2 seconds) while Woodstock did enough to take the final podium position just over 2 laps further back.

Dodgie finished best of the rest ahead od Bazza, Brett, Alby, Bruce & Tony.

Trans-am + V8 Australian Bathurst Legends were on Hellcat Pass next with Alby, Professor, Woodstock & Dodgie all taking heat wins.

Bruce, Brett & Bazza all had cars capable of winning heats but it was Professor taking a clean sweep of heat wins to take the overall win.

Woodstock (3 wins) finished only 0.21 of a lap behind Professor while Dodgie (1 win + 1 second) took the final podium position.

Brett missed out on the podium by only half a lap & Bazza was only a third of a lap behind.
Guru, Bruce, Alby & Tony rounded out the field.

The nights racing concluded with Open GT on The Duster & saw Dodgie, Guru, Alby, Woodstock, Professor & Tony all take heat wins while Bazza & Brett took 2nd place finishes.

Guru (3 wins + 1 second) took the overall win by a couple of laps from Professor (1 win + 2 seconds) while Alby (2 wins + 1 second) showed consistent speed to finish only a third of a lap behind in 3rd.

Woodstock (1 win + 2 seconds) finished best of the rest after having a great side by side battle with Bazza in one of his heats, with Bazza rounding out the top 5.

They were followed to the chequered flag by Dodgie, Tony (who took a win with his RevoSlot Marcos), Brett & Bruce.

Can you believe we are in October already!

Dodge Valley Motorplex had 9 racers line up for the weekly 3 race challenge which this week included Vintage GP, Trans-am & Australian V8 Bathurst Legends plus Open GT.

We welcomed Tony back to racing after a couple of months away.

Vintage GP were on Hellcat Pass 1st & saw some close racing & a few pile ups in the infield area.

Heat winners included Alby, Bazza, Professor, Guru, Woodstock & Dodgie while Brett, Allen & Tony all managed second place finishes.

Guru's consistency (1 win + 2 seconds) secured the overall victory by 0.4 of a lap from Professor (2 wins) with Bazza (2 wins) only 0.23 of a lap behind in 3rd overall.

Woodstock (1 win + 2 seconds) finished in his traditional position of 4th only 0.36 of a lap ahead of Alby (2 wins + 1 second) to complete the top 5.

Brett followed closely behind Alby with Allen, Dodgie & Tony rounding out the field.

V8 Trans-am & Bathurst Legends were on Hellcat Pass next & saw some great racing yet again, in particular a very close heat between Brett & Guru where Brett resisted the pressure of Guru's blow torch all over the rear bumper to take one of 2 heat wins.

Professor, Bazza & Guru also took heat wins while Woodstock, Alby & Dodgie managed second place finishes.

Professor took the overall win (3 wins + 1 second) to finish only 0.07 of a lap ahead of Bazza (3 wins) with Guru just under a lap behind in the final podium position (1 win + 2 seconds).

Brett finished best of the rest & led Dodgie, Alby, Woodstock, Tony & Allen to the chequered flag.

The night concluded with Open GT on The Duster & Professor borrowed Guru's Sideways Mustang GT3 after leaving his GT on his work bench.

He secured 2 heat wins with Alby, Guru & Bazza joining Professor on the heat winners list, while Dodgie, Woodstock & Tony all took second place finishes.

Guru took the overall win (3 wins) to finish only 0.1 of a lap ahead of Professor with Alby (2 wins) just under a lap behind in the final podium spot.

Bazza (2 wins) was best of the rest this time ahead of Woodstock, Dodgie, Tony, Brett & Allen.

Categories remain the same for this week.

Race Wrap - 25.09.26

Dodge Valley Motorplex had a healthy field of 10 drivers line up last Friday night for the weekly triple challenge which included Classic Sportscars, Lemans Classic & Slot.it Group C.

Racing commenced on Hellcat Pass with Classic Sportscars & Bruce looked to have his Cobra running very well, taking the opening heat.

Professor, Woodstock, Guru, Tony & Brett joined Bruce on the heat winners list.

A clean sweep of heat wins secured the overall win for Professor by 1.37 laps from Guru (2 wins) while Brett's consistency & good pace secured 3rd overall (1 win + 1 second).

Although Alby didn't feature on the heat winners list, he had a consistent run finishing with 2 seconds to just miss out on the podium by only 0.31 of a lap to finish best of the rest.

Woodstock was only 0.13 of a lap behind Alby with Tony less than a lap behind him, followed by Dodgie, Bazza, Bruce & Allen.

Everybody's attention then turned to The Duster for the next to events, starting with Lemans Classic.

Bazza started strongly taking the opening heat win from Woodstock who would also join the heat winners list along with Professor, Dodgie & Tony who borrowed a PGR powered Thunderslot Lola that was ballistic, setting a fastest lap time of 6.19s, a full half a second ahead of the field.

Bazza & Tony both took a hatrick of heat wins, however, Bazza prevailed to take the overall win by only 0.22 of a lap from Woodstock (2 wins + 2 seconds) while Professor (1 win + 3 seconds) finished just over half a lap behind to take the final podium position.

Tony finished best of the rest ahead of Dodgie, Guru, Alby, Bruce, Allen & Brett.

Racing concluded with Slot.it Group C again on The Duster with Guru, Bazza, Professor, Alby, Woodstock & Tony all taking heat wins.

This time Guru & Professor both took a hatrick of heat wins plus a second place finish with Guru taking the overall win by just 0.07 of a lap from Professor while Tony took the final podium position with 1 heat win & 3 second place finishes.

Woodstock just missed out on the podium again, finishing just 0.37 of a lap behind Tony & lead Alby, Bazza, Brett, Dodgie, Bruce & Allen to the chequered flag, Allen dropping a lead wire which put pay to his chances.

We have 3 new categories for the next fortnight which include Open GT (excluding NSR Mosler) on The Duster plus Vintage GP & 18k Trans-am V8 Legends on Hellcat Pass.

Race Wrap - 17.09.26

Dodge Valley Motorplex had 8 racers on hand for a rare Thursday night race meeting due to Dodgie's full size racing commitments.

Categories featured on the night were Classic Sportscars, Lemans Classic & Slot.it Group C.

It was great to see Allen back in action along with all our regular attendees for a night of fun competition.

Classic Sportscars were 1st up on Hellcat Pass for their 3rd consecutive week of 4 scheduled.

There was plenty of side by side racing with drivers somehow passing through the infamous centre squeeze section without deslotting.

Dodgie looked fast again with his Alfa with Professor & Bazza all turning sub 6s lap times with all 3 taking heat wins along with Woodstock.

In the end it was Professor taking the honours with a clean sweep of heat wins to finish just over 1.5 laps ahead of Dodgie (2 wins + 2 seconds) with Bazza just under a lap behind in the final podium position (1win + 2 seconds).

Woodstock continued on from last week again finishing best of the rest ahead of Guru, Brett, Alby & Allen.

Lemans Classic was on The Duster next with Professor, Bazza, Woodstock & Dodgie all taking heat wins.

Professor & Bazza both ended up with 3 wins but Professor managed a 2nd place finish in his other heat which was enough to secure the overall victory from Bazza by just under a lap while Woodstock finally got on the podium in 3rd (1 win + 2 seconds).

Dodgie was best of the rest this time ahead of Guru, Alby, Brett & Allen.

Alby's biological race clock was a bit out of whack due to racing being on a Thursday so he had a bit of an off night.

The nights racing concluded with Slot.it Group C on The Duster with Guru, Professor, Bazza & Woodstock all taking heat wins.

Guru & Professor both ended with 3 heat wins & a 2nd so the overall result was going to go down to the wire.

Guru prevailed to take the overall win by a lap from Professor with Bazza taking the final podium position (1 win & 2 seconds).

Brett had a consistent run to finish best of the rest ahead of Dodgie, Woodstock, Allen & Alby.

Categories remain the same for this week with racing back on Friday night as per normal.

Dodge Valley Motorplex welcomed 8 racers i da houz last Friday night to face the weekly racing challenge which included Classic Sportscars, Vintage NASCAR & NSR Mosler.

Classic Sportscars were first up on Hellcat Pass with Woodstock, Brett, Professor & Guru all taking heat wins while Dodgie, Bruce & Alby all took 2nd place finishes.

Guru & Professor both took a hatrick of heat wins with Guru taking the overall win by just 0.1 of a lap from Professor while Brett jagged the final podium position with a consistent drive.

Woodstock just missed out on the podium by only 0.13 of a lap & led Alby, Bruce, Bazza & Dodgie to the chequered flag.

Vintage NASCAR was up next again on Hellcat Pass with Dodgie, Alby & Professor featured on the heat winners list while Woodstock, Brett & Bruce all took runners up finishes.

Dodgie took a clean sweep with his silver bullet to take the overall victory by just over a lap from Professor who finished with 2 heat wins & 2 second place finishes while Alby took the final podium position with 2 heat wins & a second place finish.

Woodstock again finished best of the rest by just under half a lap & was chased to the finish by Brett, Guru, Bruce & Bazza.

NSR Mosler was the finale on The Duster & saw Woodstock, Bazza, Professor & Guru all take heat wins.

A clean sweep of heat wins secured Guru the overall win by 2/3rds of a lap from Professor who finished with a heat win & 3 seconds while Bazza edged out Woodstock for the final podium spot yet again by 0.12 of lap with both finishing with a heat win each.
Interestingly, Woodstock finished with 2 second place finishes while Bazza had a single second place finish.

Alby, Dodgie, Brett & Bruce completed the field & were covered by just under 5 laps.

Please note that racing this week will be on Thursday night & categories will include Classic Sportscars on Hellcat Pass plus Lemans Classic & Slot.it Group C both magless on The Duster.
