Race Wrap - 10.07.26

Dodge Valley Motorplex had 6 racers on site last Friday night for the weekly dose of friendly competition & chatting about all things slotcar.

All events were staged on Hellcat Pass due to limited marshalls.

Can-am was on track first.
Bazza, Guru & Alby all took 2 heat wins each with Woodstock, Brett & Dodgie all taking 1 heat win each.

Dodgie took the overall victory by just 0.68 of a lap from Guru with Alby only 0.01 of a lap behind in 3rd.
Bazza was best of the rest ahead of Brett & Woodstock with only 3.5 laps covering the field.

Group 5 was on track next & saw all heat wins split between Guru, Bazza & Brett.
This time Guru was victorious with a clean sweep of heat wins to finish only half a lap ahead of Brett who drove well to win 3 heats while Woodstock stood in the final podium position after finishing 2nd 4 times in his heats, showing consistency does pay off.

Alby just missed out on the podium by 0.14 of a lap after taking 3 second place finishes, followed by Bazza who took 2 heat wins & Dodgie who ran a couple of Carrera 18k cars for a bit of fun.

We rounded out the night with NSR F1 with a series of duals & all drivers taking at least 1 heat win each.

Guru appeared to have the raw 1 lap pace setting a new lap record & breaking out with a sub 4.5s lap but it was Woodstock's consistency again that rewarded him with the overall win after taking 3 heat wins & a 2nd.

Guru finished 2nd overall with the same heat results as Woodstock while Brett did another great job to stand on the podium in 3rd overall.

Apologies as I forgot to take photos of the overall results screen.

Categories for the next fortnight will be:

Can-am on The Duster with 2.5ltr Trans-am & DTM on Hellcat Pass.

Hope to see you all this Friday night.

Dodge Valley Motorplex welcomed 8 racers on Friday night for the weekly triple challenge that included the 'good old boys' of vintage NASCAR, the final of 4 weeks of ScaleAuto Porsche Cup racing & Slot.it Group C in the spirit of Le mans.

Vintage NASCAR was on Hellcat Pass first up where Dodgie picked up from last week with his super fast Charger.

Heat wins were shared amongst Dodgie, Bazza & Woodstock while Alby, Brett & Professor managed 2nd place finishes.

A dominant Dodgie took the overall victory with a clean sweep of heat wins, finishing just over a lap ahead of Bazza on 2 heat wins with Woodstock also on 2 heat wins stepping onto the final step of the podium another lap behind.

Professor was best of the rest followed by Alby, Guru, Brett & Tony.

ScaleAuto Porsche Cup was up next on The Duster & saw Brett, Professor, Guru, Dodgie & Bazza all taking heat wins.

Guru took the overall win with 3 heat wins & a second to finish almost 2 laps ahead of Professor with 1 heat win & 2 seconds while Bazza had 2 heat wins & 1 second to finish a lap behind Professor in 3rd overall.

Brett was best of the rest, just 0.04 of a lap ahead of Dodgie, followed by Woodstock, Tony & Alby.

Following on from the latest edition of the Le mans 24 hour race last weekend, we went back to the iconic Slot.it Group C cars for the final event of night on The Duster.

Heat victories were shared between Tony, Professor, Woodstock, Guru & Bazza.

Tony showed great pace & consistency in a strong challenge that included 2 heat wins & a 2nd but he was just pipped by 0.11 of a lap for the overall win by Guru who took 3 heat wins & a 2nd while Bazza filled the final podium position after taking 1 heat win & 3 second place finishes.

Woodstock finished just under half a lap off the podium with 1 heat win & 2 seconds with Professor another half a lap behind in 5th overall.
Dodgie & Brett rounded out the field.

Thank-you to all those who were able to come along.

Categories for the next 2 weeks will be:

Race Wrap - 12.06.26

Another great field of 9 racers were on hand at Dodge Valley Motorplex last Friday night to take on week 3 of the ScaleAuto Porsche Cup plus Vintage NASCAR & Slot.it Group C.

Open Vintage NASCAR were first on Hellcat Pass & with some high powered machines lined up, there was sure to be plenty of thrills & spills on the tight confines of the circuit.

Woodstock, Bazza, Dodgie, Guru, Professor & Alby all shared in the heat wins but Dodgie was a stand out achieving low 5s lap times & even dropping into the 4.9s in one of his heats.

Dodgie took the overall win with 3 heat wins to finish nearly 2 laps ahead of Alby who took a heat win & 3 seconds while Bazza ended up 1 lap behind Alby with the same results as Alby.

Guru ended up just missing out on the podium after a rough 1st heat & was followed closely by Woodstock who led Professor, Bruce, Tony & Allen to the chequered flag.

Our focus turned to The Duster for the ScaleAuto Porsche Cup & saw Dodgie, Professor, Guru, Bazza, Alby & Woodstock all take heat wins.

Guru took the overall win with 2 heat wins & 2 seconds with Woodstock only 0.7 of a lap behind in 2nd overall (1 win & 2 seconds) ready to pounce on any errors while Bazza took the final podium position about 0.4 of a lap behind Woodstock with 2 wins & 2 seconds.

Professor finished best of the rest with 2 heat wins & was chase home by Alby, Dodgie, Tony, Bruce & Allen.

Slot.it Group C were on The Duster to finish the nights racing.

Bazza, Guru, Professor, Woodstock & Dodgie all featured in the heat winners list, but it was Guru taking the overall victory with a clean sweep of heat wins to finish just under half a lap ahead of Bazza on 3 heat wins & a second.

Professor took the final podium spot with a heat win & 2 seconds to finish only a third of a lap behind.

Tony led the chasing pack home ahead of Alby, Woodstock, Dodgie, Bruce & Allen.

Categories remain the same for this week.

Thank-you to all who came along.
Hope to see you all there.
