Reflecting on an incredible weekend and on how powerful our minds are.
I’m a big believer that the second you tell yourself you can’t do something you are right.
People are so quick to put themselves down or say they could never do something and instantly stop themselves from even trying.
I would never of got to prepping for a body building show (x3) if I hadn’t told myself that I could it.
Sam would of never ran 100k in a day if he hadn’t told himself he could do it.
Change how you talk to yourself internally and to others.
Big yourself up, set yourself big goals and tell yourself you can do this.

And just like that my show is cancelled.. again.
I’ve been here before, this is the 3rd show I have prepped for now that didn’t go ahead but you know what this time feels so different.
This prep has not once felt like a chore.
I have honestly loved every second, I did not drop the ball once and I am very proud of myself and my physique.
The next few days I will make my new plan with coach and we go again.
S**t happens, this is all character building and will only make when I finally do step on stage even more worth it.

If you would of told the girl on the right that in less than 3 years she would be a qualified PT, online fitness coach and 8.5 weeks out from a body building competition she would of laughed in your face.
I use to look at women in the fitness industry, fitness influences and think I could never do that.
I was stuck in a cycle of trying every diet possible to end up right back where I started or worse.
I gave myself every excuse under the sun to why I couldn’t do it.
- I don’t have the time
- I love my food too much
- Work is too busy
- I don’t know what to eat
- I don’t know what to do in the gym
- I’m scared of going the gym
- I’m too old now
The fact is I am not genetically gifted, I can not eat and drink what I want and stay lean - something had to give.
Instead of going from 1-100 and failing like I had done the 20+ years prior I educated myself on health and fitness and made small changes over a long period of time.
I now
- Make the time
- I eat all the foods I love
- Training is just as important in my day as work
- I know what to eat to fuel my body
- I have built up my confident in the gym
- I love the gym
- You are never too old
This s**t is honestly life changing.
If you are feeling like I felt back then, start small and start now.
You won’t regret it.

His marathon got cancelled but he ran the distance anyway and absolutely smashed it.
First marathon (42k/26miles) ran in 2 hours, 59 minutes 🤯👏
