Awesome session on the stationary bike today
I find Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training is great if you’re returning from an injury or as a recovery session, because they allow you to lift/ push lower loads but still get similar gains as lifting heavy! 🤙🏼
For more info on BFR training check out 👌🏼

💥I’m back 💥
Epic shot from Merida 24hr race a few weeks ago 🙌🏼
Due to my injury I’d decided not to do this race as I didn’t feel that 10 rides in 6 months was enough training and then after a sudden death of a close friend I decided life was too short to keep putting things off
The race didn’t go exactly to plan with my knee blowing up 6hrs in, but after hours of icing I was stoked to be able to get back on the bike and bang out some more laps. Ended up with 5th in my category
I’m Looking forward to doing it all again next year feeling fitter, faster and stronger 💪🏼

What better way to recovery from an injury than watching 🤙🏼🤙🏼
If you can’t ride, watch! 😂

MTB Champs and Injured rides know FOR SURE that gym training is ESSENTIAL if you want to kill it on the trails
However, for some reason the average ride forgets, can’t be bothered, or puts it in the ‘too-hard’ basket
“we must undergo a hard winter training and not rush into things for which we haven’t prepared”.
