Last Round of our F4 Australian Championship at Dargle in June.
Fletcher is sitting in third for the season, but anything can happen and we are busy preparing to be ready for Dargle!

🔥 ROUND 6 – FINAL ROUND | 2026 AFPGP SEASON 🔥

What a season it’s been — full of highs, lows, and moments that reminded us just how intense Formula Powerboat racing can be.
We kicked off the 2026 season on Lake Macquarie City Council as part of the Fast and Loud Festival setting the tone early. Chasing Speed’s Darren Hitchcock took flight on the back straight, while Riley Bride in Phantom (F4) had a corner incident. Both drivers walked away okay, marking the first incidents of their racing careers.

From there, it was on to TAREE POWER BOAT CLUB for the Two‑Day Club Day, where Problem Child driver Mitch Williams experienced his first major incident, barrel‑rolling through the bridge corner — a dramatic reminder of the raw nature of the sport.

We then headed to a brand‑new venue, Mildura, for the USA & NZ vs Australia BAD Boat Challenge. International competition raised the bar, with Ewan Bricker (TBR) taking Pole Position before becoming involved in an incident during Race 1.

Next was Mulwala Waterski Club, welcoming us back once again. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other ideas — and with conditions against us, no racing could be completed and zero championship points were awarded for the weekend.

Round 5 saw us return to Yarrawonga for the Victorian Speed Boat Club E.C. Griffith Cup, and this is where the season truly turned on its head. For the third year running, Yarrawonga delivered — and this time, it blew the championship wide open with the biggest leaderboard shake‑up of the season.

And now… it all comes down to this.

👉 ROUND 6 – THE FINAL ROUND
👉 June Long Weekend
👉 Dargle Water Ski Park
👉 Dargle Winter Spectacular

Championships will be decided. Rivalries will be settled. Nothing left to save.

Cold water, high pressure, and everything on the line.

This is the finale of the 2026 AFPGP season — and it’s shaping up to be unforgettable. 🔥🚤

Whst a great weekend at Yarrawonga for Round 4 of our AFPGP F4 Championship!
Day 2 saw us encounter an electrical gremlin in Race 2, with the boat stalling at the start. Fletcher finished the race in 4th.
After diagnosing and replacing the failing switch through the generosity of the teams in the pits, we set out for the final.
Starting again from outside pole we knew it would be hard, but a good start saw Fletcher come out of turn 1 in 4th position.
A close battle with Jack Meades was developing when unfortunately Riley had an incident in turn 2.
After the restart the race settled and Fletcher crossed thr line in 4th.
A review of the restart saw a penalty applied to another team and this pushed Fletcher up to finish 3rd in the final.
We need to thank our friends and competitors team Secco Racing, as without the help from this ream Fletcher would not have run this weekend. Sparing crew to tow the trailer and hold the boat all weekend is so very much appreciated!
Big thankyou to Bricker Racing for supplying the replacement switch to repair our electrical problem.
Thankyou very much to VSBC and all their volunteers for all the hard work of putting on such an amazing weekend, certainly a highlight of our season!
Thankyou to the AFPGP for the work in running our championship and our pits and all the teams as a whole who pitch in to help each other whenever needed.
A special mention to our sponsors and supporters, without their help and support we would not be where we are

Now to recover, assess and prepare for Round 5 at Dargle.

It was pretty special to be here to see Grant Harrison and Ken Lupton putting on a show!

First day done, we had no practice session and a short qualifying to make up time from missing out yesterday due to wind.
Fletcher was settling in to his qualifying but unfortunately we were unable to put in fast laps and we ran out of time.
Fletcher started Race 1 from pole 5, he had a great start and was up with the leaders at turn 1.
Having to hold pole 5 he came out of the corner in a close 3rd with Jackson inside him. After a battle over the next lap Fletcher pushed far enough ahead to close the door and come to the inside.
Fletcher held his position then for the rest of the race and came home with a 3rd for Race 1!
Reverse grid in the morning so we will be starting from Pole 3, and hopefully even less wind tomorrow!

We have arrived in Yarrawonga!
Very windy today so not looking like we will have our scheduled practice.
Wind is predicted to drop off overnight and stay much calmer for the rest of the weekend.
We are set up and ready to go, and hopefully ready for the cold that is supposed to come in from tonight too!
