We have so much gratitude to the doctors-nurses-staff at for taking amazing care of Dusty 💙
We’re extremely appreciative to for allowing us to stay close, making life a bit easier in an extremely difficult time.
And everyone who has donated, been thinking of us and praying for us. It’s honestly blown us away how much support we have had from loved ones and strangers. Our boy has been so so loved.
We’re looking forward to sleeping in our own bed tonight and spending some much needed quality time as a family.
Dusty will continue with asthma therapy and medication to help the inflammation in his lungs continue to go down. We will be following up with the respiratory doctors regularly. The main thing is he is ok! That’s the best outcome.

Our beautiful boy is awake and alert, playing and smiling. This morning he had all breathing assistance taken out and is breathing completely on his own. He just has the feeding tube in while we try and get some food in orally.
He’s trying to talk but still has a very raspy voice. X-rays are showing inflammation to his lungs still, so we still need to take that day by day.
We’re hoping he proves the doctors wrong and there’s no permanent damage 🤞🏻

Even though I haven’t showered or changed my clothes in 24 hours, I’m so grateful to be laying next to my baby boy and getting cuddles.
Visits from the girls soon will make my day complete 🩷

My baby boy is currently in the ICU after breathing in a metallic powder that has left him in a very precarious situation. We are taking it step by step as his little body fights hard.
The doctors are unsure how long he will need to be in hospital, but we do know it will be a lengthy process of healing.
If you are able to help even the smallest amount so that we can remain bedside with him and pay for accomodation to be close by at all times, we would be extremely grateful 💙
