My final YTT 200 ashtanga vinyasa assessment at Nirvana Yoga Shhala Mysore
Namskara,
Final assessment completed!!
I took the ashtanga class today and apart from a couple of mispronounced Sanskrit pose cues it all went really smoothly and I am very happy.
Now I can spend the next few days just focusing on my own practice.
Sad it’s going to be over soon but happy to come back and share my experiences and my rekindled passion for pranayama and newfound enjoyment and knowledge on meditation.
👍🏻🙏

Namaste beautiful yogis,
I’ve recently had a few students ask about ways to gain better single leg standing balance and when I asked them “where is the weight positioned in the foot?” they replied “I don’t know”.
Feeling into the feet while standing in Todasana is the best place to start to build the mind body connection, shift the weight around until you feel yourself grounded into the mat then hold close the eyes and breath.
Then open the eyes (or not) and slowly bend one knee bringing toes to the floor, soften the gaze and steady the breath.
Start with holding each side for 3-5 breaths the over time begin to lift the foot off the floor and work up to bringing hands to knee from there you can work on whichever standing posture that feels best for your body.
Always remember “steady mind, steady body”
Posture, Gaze, Breath.
Namaste 🙏 from Christian
Very excited to be heading off today to set up for a mens retreat organised by Rhian from hot yoga oxenford, I’ll be teaching yoga and helping out so hopefully plenty of photos to follow.

The melody of the mind,
