I’ve struggled with sister wounds.

I don’t exactly know where it has come from but perhaps because I grew up in a huge family, had cousins everywhere and never really worried about making friends and sustaining friendships..

My teenage years are a WHOLE other story but being in (& eventually getting out of) a very young, not very healthy relationship, for two and a half years and disconnecting from most my friends was the start of me learning about my lack of boundaries, people pleasing and wanting everything to feel ‘happy and nice’ all the time..

Fast forward to now, I’m still re-learning what a good friendship looks like. What I have to offer, what my boundaries are and that the ‘forever best friend’ is actually the exception and not the rule.. (and also has its imperfections)

But I can say - I currently have the most beautiful, thoughtful & interesting friends I’ve ever had. They are few and far between but they are solid. And it’s because I’m more solid in who I am and who I want in my life.

We don’t have a village here so these incredible humans are my village and I’m so grateful for that.

Surround yourself with authentic, honest and inspiring people and you yourself will also become that (if that’s what you desire) ❤️
