Almost a month since our last round at the Airtouch 500! Between other commitments I've only recently had the chance to reflect on what was a huge effort to make it to the event.

Being on the Supercars schedule made this the biggest round of the year and I don't think I've ever gone into a race weekend with as much commitment and determination as I did for this one.

While Aaron and the team at Jam Motorsport had the car & race prep absolutely in hand. I went about recovering a spent budget resulting from the unfortunate crash at Hampton Downs earlier in the year.

After 8 weeks of early starts, grinding away before & after work, weekends, making cold calls and reaching out to potential sponsors we managed to assemble an absolutely legendary group of businesses who saw the merit in what I'm doing and with their support we were able to put the weekend together!

After the ups & downs and pressures leading up to the event, I've never been as happy to climb into the car and just drive it!

Sharing the weekend with our new & existing supporters was very rewarding and I thoroughly enjoyed having them along for the ride!

Thanks again to everyone who contributed to making this the great weekend that it was!

Spent some time out at Morgan Park Raceway this weekend! Thank you to Gold Coast Trades College - RTO 31175 for inviting me to join them as a guest driver of their in-house built race car project.

The weekend's event turned into more of a test & tune but it was great seeing the hard work of the students & staff come to life! 🔧

Well done everyone involved putting this together, special thanks to Pete & Tom for all of your hard work, great job you're doing with the car & showing the students the ropes. And, of course big thank you to Shona & Justin for introducing me to the team and inviting me along. 👏🏁

Last weekend's Airtouch 500 was the debut weekend for this partnership. Logmaster doing great work supplying digital compliance products which support Australia's trucking & logistics industry.

A pretty wild final day for the Australian Prototype Series at the Airtouch 500!

Race 2 started in much cooler conditions than yesterday and it was a pretty frantic race. Felt very comfortable in the car and showed some good pace. A few mishaps for others opened the way for me to cross the line 1st in the AP3!

Unfortunately, I received a post race penalty for overtaking two AP2 cars under the safety car and was relegated to 2nd place. - I genuinely didn't see the yellow flags, my sight of the marshals post obstructed by another car at a crucial time, but the flags were out there, so accepted the stewards decision with no arguments. 👍🏴🏁

Race 3 was on a wet track and was the first time I've driven this style of car in the wet. Some good battles in the AP3 class again and on a quickly drying track I managed to bring the car home in 3rd.🌧🏁

A weekend full of new experiences, our efforts were enough to secure 2nd place in the AP3 class for the event! 🥈🏁

A big thank you to the team at Jam Motorsport for looking after the car, the category organisers, and all the competitors.

Some much deserved recognition for the track marshals and volunteers who endured the pouring rain today so we could go racing!

Day 2 of the Airtouch 500! - Overall a pretty good day. Australian Prototype Series was first on track for qualifying. Car felt good and we finished fastest of the AP3 Class by a very small margin! 🤏🏁

We made some adjustments to the driving position between sessions which seem positive but threw off my rhythm a little bit and despite leading the AP3 class for a few laps, fell backwards to 3rd in class.

Really looking forward to tomorrow, if I can iron out one or two bad habits we should be slightly more competitive!
