We’re in the market for a second car, AKA Jackson’s car and this week we’re test driving the GAC AION UT.

Safe to say what I look for in a car has changed a LOT since becoming a mum, space for the car seat + pram, storage for the 400 things Tate apparently needs to leave the house and something that makes getting from A to B feel easy.

They tell you how fast it goes and they’re not wrong. 🥹
But I’m constantly stuck between HOW are you this big already?! And how does it feel like you’ve been here my entire life?

Motherhood is hands down the best thing I’ve ever experienced. Sure it’s challenging, there’s been a whole lot of adjusting, learning and figuring things out as we go… but at the same time, it all feels so natural. Like this is exactly where I’m meant to be and what I’m meant to be doing.

This little boy brings a kind of joy into my life I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words.

Every single day I genuinely get excited to wake up, see his little face and spend another day hanging out with my best little mate.

I wish time would slow down, but at the same time I can’t wait for all the little moments still to come.

What a privilege it is to watch you grow, Tatey. 🤍

We miss our baby and dog!!!

12 months ago we found out we were pregnant with Tate and to say it was the biggest shock of our lives would be an understatement.

After being told that falling pregnant with my PCOS wasn’t going to happen, we had come to terms with the idea that our journey to becoming parents might look a little different.

And then, completely unexpectedly, there he was. 🥹

Becoming a mum was a life long dream but I guess we didn’t necessarily feel ready. Financially and just with the stage of life we were in. We felt there were so many things we thought we needed to achieve before becoming parents. (Well I was ready 5 years ago but you get what I mean)

But we’ve always been big believers that everything happens for a reason and that sometimes the universe has plans far greater than the ones we make for ourselves.

What felt like the biggest shock of our lives has turned into the greatest blessing we could have ever asked for.

Now, 12 months later, we’re three months into parenthood, completely obsessed with our beautiful little boy and living a life we didn’t even know was waiting for us.

It’s crazy to think how much can change in just one year.

We thought we weren’t ready for you but maybe you were exactly what we needed all along. 🤍

First night away from Tatey boy was a success (I guess haha we obviously missed him soo much and got updates every hour) but a much needed night away for Jackson and I 🫶🏽🫶🏽

The best partner, dad and dog dad we could ever ask for!!!

Forever grateful our paths crossed (thanks TikTok 🥹) 6 years ago, because from the moment we met, I just knew you were it for me.

You’ve healed parts of me you never broke, shown me what true unconditional love looks like and stood beside me through every hurdle, challenge, milestone and opportunity life has thrown our way. Never once making me question your love or support.

You’re the most down-to-earth, humble and level-headed person I know. You bring calm to my chaos, perspective when I need it most and somehow always know exactly what to say to bring me back down to earth.

You challenge me, ground me, support my crazy ideas and make me want to be a better person every single day.

And just when I thought I couldn’t possibly love you any more, I got to watch you become a dad. Seeing the love you have for our little boy has made me fall in love with you in a whole new way.

Six years of growing, learning, building a life together and becoming versions of ourselves we once only dreamed of.

I couldn’t be more grateful that I get to do this life with you. You deserve every bit of happiness this world has to offer, and I hope you always know just how loved and appreciated you are.

We hope you break 80 today 😉
