I still cannot believe a World Para Surfing Champion towed me into a few gems today.

I was very underprepared and maybe a little out of my league with fitness. In fact, 15 minutes before this wave, I was sitting on the couch watching fishing videos to distract myself. 🤣

convinced me it was a good idea, and I'm so glad they did. I raced down with my board, and before you know it, Kai had me on.👌

I got a few and called it a day before I got flogged. I went ashore, thanked the boys, and just like that, it was done. ✅

I went to open my car and saw I had locked my keys inside. But it was meant to be, because I got to walk home along the beach, board in hand, watching the huge sets explode on the Currumbin/Tugun beachfront as far as the eye could see.

What a feeling to absorb the full power of Mother Nature and its beauty.🌈

It's inspiring seeing this man grind away, through ups and downs, overcoming diversity day-by-day. He works hard and has spent countless days training in the creek to get to this point.

With years of experience sailing, driving race cars and kayaking, it's amazing listening to all the incredible things this man has achieved.

Can't wait to celebrate this milestone with you and your crew. 💪

Matt will be surfing as a competitor in the event and will also be having an open viewing of his new film .

Come down on Saturday evening for a night with friends and watch the world's best blind surfer take on Nazare.
