Great to see the first proper pump track for the Gold Coast with hopefully more in the near future.

The more people that sign the petition the better chance there is of taking it to council and showing them that it’s desperately needed

A pump track is a circuit of rollers, banked turns and features designed to be ridden completely by riders generating momentum by up pumping, instead of pedaling or pushing. It was originally designed for the mountain bike and BMX scene, and now, due to concrete and asphalt constructions, is also used by skateboard, and accessible to wheelchairs. Pump tracks are relatively simple to use and cheap to construct, and cater to a wide variety of rider skill levels

The Gold Coast is in need of a decent pump track. We have plenty of places that are suitable to install one and has many locations along the coastline where a pump track would be used by many people. The pump track needs to be professionally built and using materials able to be used by kids and adults riding scooters, skateboards and bicycles even wheelchairs.
