All of these wagons have something unusual about them, and something in common (besides being 4 wheelers): they're private owner wagons, which means they were not owned by a railway company, and instead are owned by whatever company is mentioned on their sides - often a coal merchant.
This practice of each company having its own wagons for carrying that company's goods dates back to the days of canals apparently, as the video in the link below explains.
Yes, they are all empties, but coincidentally they are all being returned to their respective owners for refilling.
This video contains a formula to help you work out how many wagons you need. Your club will not be held responsible if it triggers you to buy any.. .

Here's the Southern Railway's Exeter loco visiting our shores. It was often seen pulling the all-Pullman Devon Belle and may be doing so here, but it's uncertain going by the angle the photo was taken.

That spider is not to scale....
More scenery work has been done on the northern section of the upper line, as you can see here
This is double double-heading! Well, quadruple-heading would be a better name for it.... Could be a rail-fan excursion? Or a celebration of 200 years since the first passenger railway started operating?
Anyway, what you're looking at is two Britannia class locos - Earl Haig then Anzac - at the front, followed by an A1 Tornado behind those two, then a V2 Class LNER at the back.
