🚨Coach Announcements🚨

The Rockhampton Leagues Club Capras are pleased to announce the signing of Lionel Harbin as Head Coach for the 2022 Intrust Super Cup Competition.

Harbin has a long history of involvement with the Capras as a player and coach. He commenced his coaching career in the Super League with the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats as Academy Development Officer. He also coached under age Capras teams, has been an assistant ISC Coach for several years and held the position as interim ISC Head Coach. He currently coach’s the Hastings Deering Colts.

Other key coaching appointments are Kane Hardy to the Hastings Deering Colts 21’s and Amanda Ohl as the BHP Women’s mentor for the third year. Other coaching roles will be advertised and appointed in the near future. In the mean time we all look forward to the remaining 8 rounds of the state wide competition under the leadership of club legend Guy Williams.

Brief History Below

30 years ago in 1991, Mark Stafford started the process of getting Vanuatu Cricket established as a sporting Association in Vanuatu and as a cricket Association with the International Cricket Council (ICC). In 1995, he was successful and we became an affiliate member of the ICC.

10 years later in 2001, we started our first cricket development programs with Pierre Chilia as our first staff in Port Vila.

3 decades later, Mark still remains the president of the VCA and the success of the Association is a testament to his passion for the sport and the VCA.

Our development programs have also grown over the last 2 decades and it has become one of the biggest sporting programs in schools and communities and we are proud of that achievement.

Thus we are celebrating these achievements on Friday August 6th and we would love to have you join us!
