Sometimes we do not have a group with all Yellow machines, not to worry. No matter the brand, or the experience level of the participant you are always guaranteed of the very best of training from the team at Locating Unlimited. Thankyou Perth and CR Kennedy for a couple of days of great training - Concrete Scanning and GPR for Utilities.
Are you aware that Before You Dig Australia is promoting the Nationally Recognised Locating course RIICCM202E - Identify, locate and protect underground services to be delivered by Astra Training Group in a day..... that's right they are going to deliver this Unit in a single day.
This is the only Unit of Competency that is available for entry level persons wanting to gain some knowledge about how to use locating devices to locate underground services, and we have BYDA taking us back 20 plus years by diluting the effectiveness of this training - how dumb is this.
I would love to hear some additional comments.
Maybe I am biased, because I am a firm believer that proper training can positively change people's lives and improve the skills that we have. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks to Endeavour Energy (NSW) for the invitation to their Industry Safety Day, thought a display of locators from the past through to the very latest might be of interest. If you are free tomorrow come on down and say hi. Technical Training Centre at Prestons from 7:30 am.
How many locators can you identify? List them in the comments.

An interesting segway in our locator class today in Brisbane. We explained the capabilities and advantages of different equipment.
The fact that many professional locators carry several different locators proves the point that some locating equipment excels over others for certain tasks.
As a professional locator what locators do you carry?

Wonderful few days working with the teams scanning the Scentre Group assets in New Zealand. Very switched on and engaged group where we took them on the journey through Concrete Scanning, EM Locating and GPR for Utilities sessions.
A big shout out to Ray Copeland, Campbell McNair, Elaine O' Neill and the whole team from Global Surveys for making us very welcome and provided their facilities for the 3 days.
