A huge congratulations to our U17 Girls after a brilliant 2–0 Grand Final victory over Premiers Lions at their home ground!

What an amazing performance from our girls when it mattered most. They showed quality, determination and belief from start to finish to cap off an outstanding season in the best possible way.

Congratulations to every player, coaches and all the parents and families who have supported the team throughout the year.

FROM GCU ACADEMY TO THE A-LEAGUE & AUSTRALIAN REPRESENTATION! 🇦🇺

What a whirlwind few weeks it has been for GCU Academy graduate Denver Minster!

We are incredibly proud to congratulate Denver on signing with A-League outfit Adelaide United, as well as earning selection in the Australian U16 Joeys squad that will travel to China to compete in the CFA Invitational.

Denver made his First Grade debut for GCU this season and has never looked back, with his performances and continued development opening the door to two fantastic opportunities.

Denver embodies so much of what we want our young players at GCU to represent. His commitment, hard work, belief, attitude and team-first mentality have been evident throughout his journey and are a credit to him.

From his time developing through our Academy to stepping onto the field with our First Grade team, it has been a privilege to play a part in Denver’s football journey.

We wish Denver every success as he takes this exciting next step with Adelaide United and pulls on the green and gold for Australia. 🇦🇺

We couldn’t be prouder, Denver. Your GCU family will be watching and supporting you all the way. 💛💙

🏆 FINALS WEEKEND | FQ ACADEMY LEAGUE 1 🏆

The stage is set for a massive weekend of finals football, with three GCU teams heading to Luxury Paints Stadium to compete in their respective finals! 💛💙

Our U13 Boys McKay kick things off on Saturday against Lions FC, before our U13 Girls take on Gold Coast Knights on Sunday morning. Our U17 Girls then round out the weekend against Lions FC on Sunday afternoon.

🏆 DOUBLE DELIGHT FOR OUR U14JL & U15JL! 🏆

A huge congratulations to our U14 JL and U15 JL teams, who were crowned Grand Final Champions over the weekend, with both sides completing the Premiership and Championship double in 2026!

⚽ U14 JL | GCU 2–1 Musgrave
Our U14s came through a hard-fought encounter against Musgrave, showing great character and determination to secure a 2–1 victory and finish an outstanding season on top.

⚽ U15 JL | GCU 5–0 Northern Rivers FC
Our U15s produced a clinical performance in their Grand Final, putting together an impressive 5–0 victory over Northern Rivers FC to cap off a fantastic season.

To achieve the double is a tremendous accomplishment, and we would like to acknowledge and thank all of our players, coaching staff and families for the hard work, commitment and support they have shown throughout the season.

We are incredibly proud of both teams and everything they have achieved in 2026.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Gold Coast United has been nominated for the 2026 FQ Academy Club of the Year.

This nomination recognises clubs that demonstrate excellence in developing the next generation of Queensland footballers, including player progression into State and National Team programs and performance through the FQ Academy Club Assessment process.

To be recognised amongst Queensland’s leading Academy clubs is a fantastic achievement and reflects the commitment, hard work and passion of our players, coaches, technical staff, volunteers and families across the entire GCU Academy.

Player development remains at the heart of what we do, and we’re extremely proud of the pathway our club continues to provide for young footballers on the Gold Coast.

We’re excited to promote our upcoming Only Girls Elite Holiday Camps at Coplicks Family Park, Tallebudgera!

We have two fantastic camps coming up, full of football, skill development, confidence-building and plenty of fun with friends.

It’s a great opportunity for the girls to keep improving, challenge themselves and enjoy the holidays, doing what they love.
