Following a review of the club's on-field performances and results throughout the current season, Gold Coast United can confirm that we have parted ways with NPL Men's Head Coach David Provan.

Big decisions are rarely easy, particularly when they involve someone held in such high regard by our club.

David returned to Gold Coast United this year after previously assisting within our NPL Men's program, bringing with him a genuine passion for the club and a deep commitment to the players and staff around him. Throughout his tenure, Dave has demonstrated outstanding professionalism, resilience and integrity, consistently approaching challenges with determination and a tireless work ethic.

While results on the field have not met the standards and expectations we collectively set for ourselves, nobody could ever question Dave's dedication to the role or the game. He has worked relentlessly in the best interests of the club, investing countless hours into the development of our players and the growth of the program. His character, tenacity and unwavering commitment have earned him the respect he deserves.

Football is a competitive sport, as a club, we believe a reset is required to give our NPL Men's program the best opportunity to be competitive.

On behalf of the Board, staff, players, members and supporters, we would like to sincerely thank Dave for everything he has contributed to Gold Coast United and wish him and his family every success and happiness in the future.

Effective immediately, Gold Coast United Director of Football Jamie Dixon will assume responsibility for the NPL Men's program in an interim capacity while the club undertakes a process to identify and appoint a new Head Coach.

The club remains committed to providing a high-performance environment that supports player development, competitive success and the long-term growth of Gold Coast United.

We thank our members, supporters, players and sponsors for their continued support and look forward to updating the football community on the appointment of a new Head Coach in due course.
