Yoga is a fun way for children to develop important skills in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Even at a young age, children often feel pressure, socially as well as academically, in addition to the pressure of competitive sports. It is easy for boys and girls to become overly self-critical, losing confidence in themselves as they grow and change. Yoga is a great remedy. there is no judg

ement in a yoga class about how a child does a pose or plays a game. Doing a pose perfectly is not the aim of yoga which nourishes a child's inner strength and self acceptance. Kids classes are fun including music, games, stories, concepts and always ending with an activity that introduces and promotes quiet time and relaxation. All classes and activities are varied and age appropriate. This nurturing atmosphere encourages children to relax and have fun while they develop not only strength, coordination, flexibilty and balance but also body awareness, better focus and concentration and self confidence. Yoga for Kids classes provide a balance of structure and spontaneity supporting kids to listen to each other as well as express themselves creatvely. We believe that kids learn best when they are having fun, so yoga for kids classes interweave story, song, games and poses allowing children to learn in a multi sensory environment which explores kinaesthetic, visual, aural inter and intra-personal learning. Besides the immense physical and mental benefits, a central tenet of yoga practice is respect and honour: for ourselves, for each other and our environment. In yoga classes children often go on magical journeys around the world, learning about many cultures in the process. Since many of the yoga poses are of animals, children also learn about different animal habitats, endangered species and often get the opportunity to share their knowledge of a favourite animal. Yoga is a holistic practice, with an inner as well as outer focus, But most importantly it is FUN! Classes in structured day care and school settings are run either independently, as group schedules or incursions. Classes run under specialised enrichment programs maybe themed to support required program topics. Classes include set up and tidy of class space including provision of yoga mats, all props and a small reward i.e. sticker at the end of each class. End of term certificates and newsletters including summaries of class content and generalised feedback of student participation is also provided for pre-booked block term classes. I absolutely love teaching Yoga for Kids and Familes and take great joy in the relationships I am privileged to develop in my classes with my little yogis as they grow and learn whilst having so much fun. My experience includes teaching classes in a variety of settings including Montessori pre-school, private studio including family classes and P & C fund raising events. I am a Registerd Nurse as well as 'Rainbow Kids Yoga' trained yoga teacher. I hold current valid CPR and Blue Card status. Please feel free to contact me on my mobile number or page.

To move with experience and the changes that come, Ruby Luna Yoga is changing to the new name 'Ruby Kids Yoga'.
The new name is a better reflection of what we are about and so improves how we communicate this when expanding further out into our beautiful community.
Therefore I will request everyone to like the new page name once I have fully renamed this page. Thanks in advance 💜

Welcome to term 2 of Yoga for Kids classes at Mudgeeraba Music Centre! Classes resume this Thursday 14th April, 3.45pm. Hoping you all had a wonderful Easter break in whichever way you chose to spend it. Throughout this term I will be asking my yogi students what they would like to see in school holiday classes as I plan dates for the next school holiday period too. Lots of creativity, fun and connections with ourselves, others and our world around us coming up in term 2 classes!

Beautiful fun first class at our beautiful Mudgeeraba Music Centre! The energy was high with familiar and new little yogis to the class. We formed human mandalas, spent time travelling to the beach and exploring creatures of the ocean before relaxing on our yoga mat towels hearing the gentle oven waves in our breath and experiencing the song and vibrations of our singing bowl. No time to catch a photo or 2 but lots of time to have fun together, the most important factor for our classes! Where will we visit next week, our there in our wonderful planet and inside our own landscapes? 😍

Very excited to be announcing, our new classes starting Thursday 3rd March at our beautiful MUDGEERABA MUSIC CENTRE, 3.45pm for 60 minutes. 5-10 years. A wonderful local community venue for our classes. Please contact me to confirm attendance as classes are capped to ensure our little yogis have the attention they deserve whilst having FUN!!!! Parents are encouraged drop off and enjoy some you time in our beautiful Mudgeeraba community. Can't wait - look forward to seeing you soon. Please share!
