Beautiful by nature. Challenging by design. ⛳️

Lakelands Golf Club looks so good because every fairway, bunker and green is shaped to complement its natural Gold Coast setting. Jack Nicklaus’s first signature course in Australia blends mature woodland, generous corridors and strategic hazards into a layout that rewards thoughtful shot-making.

From the air, the presentation is striking. From the tee, the challenge becomes clear. Each hole asks for a considered decision: find the right line, manage your position and commit to the shot. Immaculate conditioning and attentive presentation ensure the course plays to international championship standards while remaining welcoming for members and guests.

It is this balance of beauty, strategy, and craftsmanship that makes a round at Lakelands truly memorable. A course that proves the finest designs are meant to be admired and played with purpose.

The result is a course that rewards precision without losing its natural beauty. Choose the right line, manage the risk and commit to each shot—the design reveals its character with every decision.

Small action. Lasting impact. ⛳️

Following recent renovations, our greens are currently softer as they recover and return to their exceptional playing condition. During the next four weeks, every golfer can play an important part in this process.

Please repair your own pitch marks - and take a moment to fix any others you see. Using a pitch-mark repairer correctly helps the turf recover faster, protects the putting surface, and maintains the quality of play for every group that follows.

Great golf is built on thoughtful course care and respect for fellow players. Together, these simple acts of etiquette will help Lakelands’ greens return to the smooth, true surfaces our members and guests value.

Excellence on the course begins with the details.

A closer look at the craftsmanship behind better putting surfaces. 🌱

Lakelands Golf Club Superintendent Richard Flesser shares an update on our course renovations. With the majority of the work complete, the team is now moving into the second stage: overseeding with bent, top dressing, grooming and careful watering.

These considered steps support improved putting surfaces and an even better day on the course, while maintaining the standards golfers expect at Lakelands.

A well-presented course is built through precision, patience and care—one detail at a time.

A course that commands attention from every angle. ⛳

At Lakelands, championship golf is framed by sweeping waterways, pristine fairways and the unmistakable Gold Coast skyline beyond the treeline. Every hole is meticulously presented, but its beauty is never merely for show.

Jack Nicklaus’ design asks players to consider every line: carry over water, placement from the tee, approach angles and the subtle movement of immaculate greens. It is strategic golf in a setting that rewards a moment of appreciation between shots.

Here, first-class conditioning and remarkable scenery share the same standard of excellence.

A beautiful course should also make you think.

A course this striking demands more than admiration—it demands your best golf. ⛳

At Lakelands, every hole pairs Gold Coast beauty with purposeful challenge. Water shapes the strategy, bunkers demand precise placement, and immaculate fairways reward confident shot-making from tee to green.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Australia’s first signature Nicklaus course is as thoughtful as it is picturesque. From a bold drive over the water to a measured approach beneath the skyline, each shot asks a question—and a well-played answer feels all the more rewarding.

World-class conditioning, championship design and a setting unlike any other: Lakelands plays every bit as good as it looks. 🌿

COURSE CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR YEARLY RENOVATIONS ⛳

A reminder that Lakelands Golf Club is currently closed for our annual course renovations and will reopen on Thursday, 17 September.

Our greens will continue to recover over the next 4-6 weeks as the warmer weather supports their growth and establishment. By mid-October, we expect to be presenting some great playing surfaces.

Thank you for your understanding as our course team continues its work to maintain the championship standard of Jack Nicklaus’ first signature course in Australia. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Great greens begin with careful work behind the scenes. 🌱

Following a very wet winter, Lakelands Golf Club is undertaking its annual green renovation to prepare our putting surfaces for the months ahead.

The process includes scarifying, coring, applying fertilisers, topdressing, and carefully working the sand into the surface. As the weather warms, these efforts will help create tighter, healthier greens and exceptional playing conditions.

The entire property will be closed from Monday 14 September and will reopen on Thursday 17 September while our dedicated course team carries out this important work.

Thank you for your understanding as we invest in the quality and consistency that define the Lakelands playing experience. Great golf starts with great foundations.
