Running has a funny way of becoming part of your life. It pushes you, humbles you, and somehow keeps you coming back for more. Even the hard days feel strangely rewarding once they’re over.
It’s not really an addiction — it’s the structure that makes sense. The routine, the effort, the rhythm of moving forward gives your mind something solid to hold onto. There’s comfort in the challenge.
And yes, it hurts sometimes. The miles get heavy, the weather gets annoying, and your legs complain more than they should. But the feeling afterward always makes it worth it.
So no, it’s not an addiction. It’s just choosing a little bit of suffering that makes life feel better, clearer, and calmer than anything else ever could.🏃♂️😂

5 ways to run faster 🏃💨
Speed doesn’t come from magic — it comes from small, smart changes that add up.
1️⃣ Add strides after easy runs.
Short 20–30-second bursts help your legs remember what faster feels like.
2️⃣ Do interval workouts once a week.
Alternate fast and slow segments — it trains both speed and recovery.
3️⃣ Run hills.
They build power and efficiency, turning strength into speed.
4️⃣ Don’t skip easy runs.
They help your body absorb harder training — that’s where real progress happens.
5️⃣ Work on your form.
Shorter strides, relaxed shoulders, and strong posture can make you faster without extra effort.
Speed is built one workout at a time — stay patient, stay consistent, and the pace will follow. 💛

Most runners slow down in their seventies. Jeannie? She’s defying biology. At 77, Jeannie Rice is still outpacing people half her age. She’s got world records from the 1500 meters to the marathon in her age category, and she’s somehow still getting quicker.
Scientists have even studied her to figure out how she does it, and it turns out there’s a lot we can all take from her approach.
