Another fantastic event by our friends at SCMSC!

A huge field is set to take on the Coastal Fasteners Sunshine Coast Sprints at Nambour Showgrounds including five GCTMC members and two of them are in the top five in the sprint series points 👌👌

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, get along and support a fellow club and our members.

It's an iconic event running over 1.1 km around the perimeter of the Showgrounds, featuring elevation changes, fast bits, tight turns, and chicanes; and a mix of cars ranging from open wheelers and custom race cars to road-registered performance vehicles.

Multiple spectator zones are set up around the track, plus there's live pit area footage. Food and drinks are available all weekend and there's a merchandise stand. Get there! 🙌

🏁 Can you help us find a venue?

Everyone keeps asking for more khanacross… and we’d love to give everyone another opportunity for skids! 🚗💨

We’re looking for a one-off venue around the Gold Coast to run a Khanacross Driver Training Day on Saturday 14 November (with access from Friday afternoon to set up). If you know of a flat grassy paddock that might suit, we’d love to have a chat.

A few people have asked why there aren’t any more GCTMC khanacross events this year. Our 2026 calendar was set back in late 2025 and put all our events early to mid year to provide for rained contingencies (last year was tough!). Then the Qld rally championship moved an event to our contingency long October weekend.

Don’t forget there’s still the Murwillumbah Sporting Car Club khanacross in September, and we’re already planning more GCTMC khanacross in 2027.

SAUSAGE SIZZLE & PROMO EVENT - Saturday 18 July

One of our GCTMC NextSteps recipients, Mason Andrews, is giving back to the club by hosting a sausage sizzle at the KickAss Gold Coast store on Saturday 18 July.

As part of his NextSteps commitment, Mason is helping introduce more people to grassroots motorsport and GCTMC. Come and check out his khanacross car, along with Brocky's iconic rally Gemini, have a chat with our members, and find out how to get involved!
