The Robina Mudgeeraba Roos are thrilled to announce the appointment of former Essendon AFL player Alwyn โFroggyโ Davey as Senior Coach of our Men's Senior side for the 2027 season!
Joining Froggy in the coaching ranks will be former 100-game Gold Coast Suns AFL player Matt Shaw, who has committed to the club as Playing Assistant Coach for 2027.
Both Froggy and Shawry will be entering their fourth season at The Roo Pen, a testament to their loyalty, passion and genuine love for the Robina Mudgeeraba Football Club.
Their commitment to the Roos extends well beyond the playing field. Both are passionate about developing our Men's playing group, building a strong club culture and driving the standards required to take our football program to the next level.
With a wealth of AFL experience, football knowledge and a shared vision for the future, we're excited about what this coaching partnership will bring to the Roos in 2027 and beyond.

His approach to coaching, emphasis on accountability and commitment to getting the best out of his players have helped raise the bar for what it means to represent the Roos at senior level.
Tim has helped build a stronger foundation for our playing group, instilling values of hard work, discipline and pride in the jumper. The standards he has established will continue to benefit the club as we move into this exciting next chapter.
On behalf of everyone at the Robina Mudgeeraba Roos, thank you, Kingy, for your hard work, leadership and contribution to our club over the past two seasons. ๐
