Received this handwritten letter from one of our students, Alice, and it genuinely means so much.

As a coach, moments like these are a reminder of why we do what we do. It’s never just about teaching jiu-jitsu. It’s about building confidence, developing character, creating friendships and giving our students a place where they feel supported and belong.

Knowing that our academy feels like a second home is one of the greatest compliments we could ever receive.

Back from the Pan Pacific Championships! 🥇🥈

A huge congratulations to Ronnie and Stanley on their performances at the Pan Pacs!

🥇 Stanley – Gold Medal
🥈 Ronnie – Silver Medal

Both boys represented Galeb Brothers BJJ Helensvale with pride, showing great skill, determination and composure on the competition mats.

We’re incredibly proud of the hard work these two continue to put in, both in training and competition.

5 REASONS TO KEEP TRAINING 🥋

Life gets busy. Work, family, responsibilities and everything in between. Sometimes, showing up to training feels like the hardest part.

But before you decide to give it away, remember why you started.

1. YOU DESERVE TIME FOR YOURSELF.
Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish. You can’t keep giving to everyone else if you’re running on empty.

2. YOUR FAMILY IS WATCHING.
When you keep showing up, you’re teaching the people around you discipline, resilience and the importance of not giving up.

3. YOUR COMMUNITY NEEDS YOU.
You might not realise it, but your presence matters. Someone looks forward to seeing you on the mats.

4. YOU’RE BUILDING MORE THAN SKILL.
Every difficult round, every setback and every small improvement is building resilience that carries into everyday life.

5. LIFE WILL NEVER STOP BEING BUSY.
There will always be another reason to miss training. Don’t wait for the perfect time to return. That time may never come.

Remember, you don’t have to train every day. You don’t have to be the best in the room. You just have to keep showing up.

Your journey is worth continuing.
