I used to think health was about how I looked at a certain age.
Now I understand itās about how I want to live at every age that comes after.
Each chapter of my life has looked different:ļæ½grief, rebuilding, strength, pride, loss, discipline, reinvention.
But the thread running through all of it⦠is choice.
I didnāt always get to choose what life gave me.ļæ½But I did get to choose how I responded.
And now at 59, my training has a different meaning.
Itās not punishment.ļæ½Itās not aesthetics.ļæ½Itās preparation.
For energy.ļæ½For independence.ļæ½For a strong mind and a capable body in the decades ahead.
If youāre in midlife too⦠this is your reminder:
It is never too late to rebuild.ļæ½And it is never too early to train for your future self.

Sometimes in menopause I feel that our body is sayingā¦
STOP! Listen to meā¦
I want to be your friend
I want to tell you whatās wrong
I want us to walk this path together..
Iām trying to let you knowā¦
I need rest, repair, foods to help me stay strong and movement to help me feel well.
But sometimes I feel you donāt listen
I feel I donāt matter
The foods you eat thot make me feel tired, the alcohol makes me feel sick , the sitting that makes me feel weak..
I am breaking down
I need you
Help me rebuild
Are you listening?
Lower back pain can feel so frustrating.
And while every body is differentā¦
one area we often forget to check is the hip flexors.
These muscles sit at the front of the hips and can become tight from sitting, driving, desk work and everyday life.
When they tighten, they can affect posture and how the hips + lower back feel.
Thatās why I love including simple hip mobility and stretching through the week.
Gentle.
Consistent.
Midlife-friendly.
Save this one to try later ā¤ļø
(And always work within your own comfort levelāpain shouldnāt feel sharp or forced.)
A little Monday reminder for every woman in midlife š¤
Itās easy to notice what hurts.
The stiff body.ļæ½The poor sleep.ļæ½The lower energy.ļæ½The changes we didnāt ask for.
But your body is not only a list of symptoms.
It is still working for you every single day.
Still adapting.ļæ½Still healing.ļæ½Still responding.
Midlife can be a beautiful time to rebuild strength, confidence and health.
Not with pressure.
Not with punishment.
But with patienceā¦ļæ½and one small step at a time.
Whatās one kind thing you can do for your body today? ā¤ļø
