Achieving 4th Dan is a significant milestone and a true reflection of Richard’s years of dedication, discipline, commitment and instruction for Shimjang Taekwondo.

Richard's dedication to the art shows in his students at Bellbird class. He invests his time, energy and knowledge into helping every student improve, build confidence and reach their potential.

That commitment was clearly evident at our recent grading. The effort, preparation and progress shown by the Bellbird students was a fantastic reflection of the work Richard puts in behind the scenes. Seeing his students step onto the floor prepared, focused and determined was a wonderful testament to the instructor he is.

Richard leads by example. His own journey and continued pursuit of excellence inspire his students to challenge themselves, keep learning and never give up when things get tough.

4th Dan is not just a recognition of Richard’s skill — it’s recognition of the years of dedication he has given to Taekwondo and to the students he teaches.

We are incredibly proud to have Richard as part of the World Shimjang Taekwondo Academy family, and we know his Bellbird students are lucky to have such a committed instructor in their corner.

Dan promotions at the last Gold Coast/Brisbane.
We had Instructors Brenda and Kiana promoted to 2nd Dan, Instructors Olivia and Linda promoted to 3rd Dan, Instructor Neil promoted to 4th Dan and AMI Matt promoted to 5th Dan Master Instructor.
Great effort and very well deserved!
