To My Kanga Mums,
Some of you came today having had little or broken sleep...
Some of you came today for the first time not knowing what to expect...
Some of you came today wondering if you’d made a terrible mistake…
I hope you all left today feeling energised and recharged after spending an hour not only exercising but dancing away with your beautiful bubba wrapped in your arms.

A lot of self care activities mean that you leave your baby and often that isn’t something that is achievable with teething, separation anxiety, no babysitter or you just don’t want to!

Did you know you can meet your baby’s needs literally any time during your class?
If that is feeding (bottle or breast), nappy changes, stopping to play with your toddler for a minute, snacks, whatever else they might need.

💜 Unspoken but Common Feelings in Motherhood
Yes there are a lot of positive and wonderful feelings involved in motherhood 🙌🏻
But we are going to talk about the unspoken but common feelings that also occur - so you know that you are not alone 🤗
OVERWHELMED
The sheer volume of responsibilities and the learning curve can be daunting, overwhelming, intense, scary and can negatively impact your mood and mental health.
And that’s on top of the hormonal, physical and psychological changes that occur during matrescence.
Try to remember you are doing the best you can and to give yourself some grace.
You will find your groove in time and there are supports around if you need them ❤️

I get it. And you are not alone. Some days are better and some are worse. Some days are awesome and some days feel great. Some days could be lonely and some days a total struggle.
Kangatraining has always been a great motivation to get out of the house for us.....beeing part of the community feels great, exercising feels amazing, having fun and sleepy cuddles is a bonus on top and have a boogie will always be a great mood lifter!

The safety of your baby and the comfort of you both is the utmost importance in class.
As we are completing exercises and movements that are different from day to day life, we have specific needs of your baby carrier to ensure it’s suitable.
➡️ is it a baby carrier that has been safety tested by US and/or European standards?
➡️ does it fit you and your baby?
➡️ does it meet the TICKS safety guidelines?
➡️ does it put your baby in an optimal position?
➡️ is it ergonomic for you?
➡️ is your baby’s head clear of the back panel and their airways clear?
➡️ is it comfortable?
But don’t worry if you don’t have a baby carrier or perhaps yours isn’t suitable, our trainers all have a stash that you can use 🙌🏻

💜 Kangatraining FYI - Safe Return to Exercise 💜
I know that there’s this expectation that after your postpartum 6 weeks check up, you are back to normal.
But
Pregnancy has a significant physiological impact. It weakens certain muscles, you have different hormones in your body and your body has completed the equivalent of a marathon everyday 🤯 (which is super impressive!)
And your birth can have lasting implications too.
Keeping all of this in mind, we need to respect our bodies and return to exercise in a way that helps us recover not increase our risk of injury!
This is why Kangatraining is made the way it is 🙌🏻
