Hey Team Hurricanes, North Gold Coast Seahawks Basketball have implemented their zero tolerance for poor player behaviour during games. Starting last week any behavioural tech foul given to a player will result in an automatic 1 week suspension.

They have also asked us to remind you all that it is important to record technical fouls appropriately when completing iPad score bench duties, this is so Seahawks can keep track of tech fouling players and deal with poor behaviour during games.

What does a tech foul look like? See below for the hand signal that a ref will show you when issuing one.

How do I enter one onto the iPad? See below for the buttons to press on the iPad to record a personal or tech foul.

Need help on the Scorebench? Don’t be shy - please ask your team Manager for help.

Super Skill Sessions with Coach Megan Thompson kick off next week, and there are only four spots left—so if you’ve been thinking about joining, be sure to register soon to lock in your place.

What Players Will Work On
• Ball handling and control
• Shooting technique and footwork
• Passing, movement, and court awareness
• Defence, agility, and game confidence

Duration - 5 weeks on consecutive Tuesday evenings
Who - Team Hurricanes junior players looking to build skills and confidence
When - Commencing Tuesday 21st July from 5 pm to 6 pm
Where - Woodgate Hall, Gaven State School, 212 Universal Drive OXENFORD
Cost - $50 total per participant
