Empowering growth-minded leaders to build life on purpose & income with impact.

At Kaizen Advantage we believe true success is proceeded by succession. For this reason, it is our mission to coach select individuals within our mentorship and leadership system. Due to the exclusivity of our approach, we limit the numbers we take on. We feel this adds value to our system and ultimately to the associates we partner with. As a result, we work with some of the most determined, crea

The gap between where we are and where we are capable of going is often found in the willingness to stay committed when life becomes uncomfortable. Growth rarely feels convenient. It stretches you, tests you and forces you to confront your excuses, fears and limitations.

One thing I am deeply grateful for is that on this journey of living my best life, I am surrounded by people who genuinely support, encourage and empower me to become better every single day. At this stage of life, I do not take that for granted. To have people around you who challenge you to grow rather than settle for average is a gift.

The reality is that becoming stronger mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually is not always comfortable. There are moments of uncertainty, sacrifice and discomfort. There are days where progress feels slow and the easier option would be to quit. But as the quote highlights, the people who continue to grow are often the ones willing to endure discomfort longer than most.

The journey is uncomfortable at times — but it is always worth it.

Every early morning, every hard conversation, every setback, every disciplined decision and every lesson learned is shaping the person we are becoming.

Grateful for the environment.
Grateful for the people.
Grateful for the growth.
And grateful to still be in the game, continuing to move forward one day at a time.

There’s something powerful that happens when you step off the pavement… and onto the trail.

No traffic.
No noise.
No distractions.

Just you, your breath, and the rhythm of your feet connecting with the earth.

Trail running isn’t just exercise — it’s a reset. It sharpens your mind as you navigate uneven ground.
It strengthens your body in ways the gym can’t replicate.
It grounds you, literally, in nature — reducing stress and bringing clarity.

“The worst thing that can happen to you is to find out too late that nothing was stopping you.”

Let that sit for a moment.

Not fear.
Not lack of opportunity.
Not other people.

Just… hesitation.

Emotional resistance is subtle.
It shows up as overthinking.
As waiting for the “right time.”
As convincing yourself you’re not ready yet.

But here’s the truth most people avoid:

👉 The life you want is usually on the other side of a decision you’ve been delaying.

We don’t get stuck because we’re incapable.
We get stuck because we’re unwilling to confront what we feel.

Fear of failure.
Fear of judgment.
Fear of stepping into something bigger than who we’ve been.

And the longer we sit in that space… the more convincing it becomes.

But awareness changes everything.

When you become conscious of your thoughts, your patterns, and your emotional habits—you take back control.

You stop reacting… and start choosing.

✔ Choosing courage over comfort
✔ Choosing action over excuses
✔ Choosing growth over familiarity

Because the real risk isn’t failing.

The real risk is waking up one day and realising…
you could have done more, become more, lived more.

And nothing was ever truly in your way.

Not circumstances. Not timing. Not people.

Just a decision you didn’t make.

Make it today.

At 66, on my mission to be Healthy to 100, one habit I refuse to retire from is this:

📖 Reading. Learning. Growing.

I’m currently reading The Power of Choice by Neale Daniher — a powerful reminder that while we can’t always choose our circumstances, we can always choose our response.

Neale’s life is living proof of that truth.

As we age, it’s easy to think learning is behind us. But here’s what I believe:
• If you stop learning, you start declining.
• If you stop choosing growth, you drift toward comfort.
• If you stop challenging your thinking, your world gets smaller.

The quality of our later years isn’t an accident — it’s the result of daily choices.

We choose:
✔ What we feed our body
✔ What we feed our mind
✔ Who we surround ourselves with
✔ How we respond to adversity

Every page I read strengthens more than my knowledge — it strengthens my mindset.

Neale speaks about taking charge of your life. That doesn’t mean controlling everything. It means choosing courage over fear. Discipline over excuses. Purpose over passivity.

Ageing isn’t about slowing down mentally.
It’s about becoming sharper, wiser and more intentional.

If you’re 40, 50, 60 or beyond — don’t coast.

Choose growth.
Choose curiosity.
Choose responsibility.
Choose hope.

Because at the end of the day, our greatest power isn’t time…
It’s the choices we make with it.

As I slowly work my way back into some form of running and making sure I manage my condition, I am super excited to give my new Topo Ultraventure shoes a good test. Designed around barefoot theory and providing sufficient cushioning they feel really comfortable.

Gratitude is a skill — and it changes everything.

I recently heard this line and it stopped me in my tracks:
“The amount of good things in your life depends on your ability to notice them.”

That’s not just a nice thought — it’s a truth backed by how our brains work.

When we practice gratitude, we’re literally rewiring our thinking.
We shift from scanning for what’s missing, wrong, or stressful…
to noticing what’s present, working, and meaningful.

Gratitude trains the mind to:
• Focus on abundance, not lack
• Reduce stress and emotional noise
• Build resilience during hard seasons
• Improve clarity, calm, and perspective

It doesn’t mean life is perfect.
It means we choose where we place our attention.

And attention, over time, becomes our reality.

As we age — and as we pursue a Healthy to 100 life — a calm, grateful mind is just as important as a strong body.

Today, pause for a moment.
Notice one good thing.
Then another.
That’s how the rewire begins. 🙏

Kaizen: The Power of Small Improvements
What is Kaizen?
Kaizen is a Japanese philosophy that means “change for the better” or “continuous improvement.”
Rather than relying on massive breakthroughs, Kaizen focuses on small, consistent improvements made every day.
The core belief is simple but powerful:

Tiny changes, done consistently, lead to extraordinary results over time.

Kaizen became globally known through Japanese manufacturing after World War II, but its real power is not limited to factories or businesses—it applies directly to how we live, lead, think, and grow.

Core Principles of Kaizen

Progress over perfection
Waiting for the perfect time or perfect plan creates paralysis. Kaizen says: start small, start now.

Consistency beats intensity
Small daily actions compound far more effectively than occasional bursts of effort.

Process matters more than outcomes
Focus on improving habits and systems, not just chasing results.

Self-awareness drives improvement
You cannot improve what you are not aware of. Reflection is built into Kaizen.

Everyone is responsible
Kaizen places responsibility on the individual—growth is not outsourced.

Applying Kaizen to Our Lives
1. Mental & Emotional Growth

Ask daily: “What is one small thing I can do today to improve my mindset?”

Improve emotional regulation by pausing before reacting.

Replace self-criticism with curiosity: “What can I learn from this?”

Kaizen in action:
5 minutes of reflection each day beats a yearly attempt at “reinventing yourself.”

2. Physical Health

One healthier meal choice today.

One walk instead of sitting.

One extra glass of water.

One more set or one more rep.

Kaizen in action:
Sustainable health is built through daily discipline, not extreme programs.

3. Relationships

One meaningful conversation.

One act of appreciation.

One moment of presence without distraction.

Kaizen in action:
Strong relationships are built through small, repeated deposits—not grand gestures.

4. Work, Business & Leadership

Improve one process, one conversation, or one decision each day.

Encourage speaking up and learning from mistakes.

Remove fear—Kaizen thrives in environments of psychological safety.

Kaizen in action:
Great cultures are built by improving standards daily, not by slogans.

The Kaizen Question
At the end of each day, ask:

“What is one small improvement I made today?”

And at the start of each day:

“What is one small improvement I will make today?”

Final Thought
Kaizen reminds us that lasting change doesn’t come from force—it comes from alignment, awareness, and repetition.
When we take responsibility for our thoughts, emotions, habits, and standards—and improve them just a little each day—we quietly become unstoppable.
Small steps. Every day.
That’s Kaizen.

Mission: Healthy to 100.
Actual age : 65
Fitness age: 55

Over the last 30 days I’ve walked 388,650 steps — over 311 kilometres.
Not to chase medals.
Not to punish my body.
But to honour it.

As we age, fitness isn’t about extremes — it’s about consistency.

🚶‍♂️ Walking has quietly become one of the most powerful tools for:
• Keeping the body strong and mobile
• Clearing the mind and reducing stress
• Supporting heart health and longevity
• Creating space for reflection and gratitude
• Connecting mind, body, and soul

What I love most?
Walking doesn’t ask for perfection — just presence.

Some days are fast.
Some days are slow.
All of them count.

At 65, my focus isn’t on adding years to life —
it’s on adding life to years.

If you’re waiting for the “perfect program,” start with this:
➡️ Lace up
➡️ Step outside
➡️ Move with intention

Healthy ageing isn’t complicated — it’s practiced daily.

Here’s to walking ourselves into the next decade — strong, clear-minded, and grateful.

Healthy to 100. One step at a time.
