Had an awesome 5 days on OB1 fishing heavy tackle on the GBR. We ended up 5 from 7 which was pretty good going since it rarely got below 20kts and the fishing was generally slow. Just goes to show on the right boat with the right crew you have fun regardless of conditions. Big thanks to Leigh, Craig, Paul and Karen for giving me such a great experience and working their butts off chasing that elusive big one, you guys run a first class program. (Leigh and I worked together 30 years ago so it was also great to catch up again and reconnect, nothing’s changed…😂🤙🤙) we even got a blood moon!!

Well, it’s been a week of mixed emotions for the Hit n Run crew, we’ve sold her and she’s moved to a new home in Cairns. Thanks especially to Brad Bobbermien aka Tappy for running the boat impeccably for 4 years, catching my son an Aussie record blue Marlin, sharing a few headaches and being a great mate. To all our crew, thanks for the memories, we sure had some fun on her and caught a lot of fish. I’m sure she’ll give her new owners as many memories as she did us. It’s now time for our next adventure….. &Sboatworks

Another stunning day snapper fishing, bit slow but still scraped up a decent feed

Another stunning Gold Coast day deep dropping. Caught a nice mixed bag of Flame Snapper, Bar Cod, Kingfish & Snapper. Catch of the day went to Graham McCloy though weighing a 740lb Blue Marlin, congratulations Graham!!!

Productive deep drop day, a few Flame Snapper, a couple of stonking Bar Cod and a couple cheeky Nannygai just in time for lockdown!!

Annual maintenance done!!! Thanks Tappy, Gary, Doch, Affordable Antifoaling and Pauly O’Rouke for gettin her done!!! Monique Richter your transom looks like new again thanks to Paul!!

Pending Aussie Junior Blue Marlin record on 130 # at 186.3kgs for Lachlan Kendall. We’ve dropped two fish at the boat over the last couple of months that would have qualified but we finally caught one with two months to go before he turns 16!!!!🤙🤙🤙

Amazing weather window over the weekend for the 2021 GCGFC Blue Marlin Classic, the bite was patchy unfortunately, we went 3/2/0 on Sunday with 2 Blues and a Stripey but couldn't make them stick, we did land a solid 17kg Dolly for Lorraine Golightly though. Thanks Bob Jones for subbing in for Brad while he recovers from a back op. Congratulations to Assegai for the overall win with 7 fish tagged, awesome effort!!!
