The scales tell one story. The habits tell the real one. This morning one of my clients sent me a message saying he weighed 109.6kg.

The weight loss is impressive but that’s not what stood out to me. What stood out was this:

“Today also marks 6 years clean and serene from all mood and mind altering substances.”

Six years of choosing a different path, of keeping promises to himself, of showing up when it would have been easier not to.

The weight loss is simply a by-product of the man he has become. Too many people focus on the outcome. The scale, body fat, before and after photo.

Lasting change happens when you change your identity. When you become someone who follows through, who keeps their word, who shows up for themselves regardless of how they feel.

The number on the scale will continue to drop but the greatest transformation has already happened.

Proud of all my clients who are not only losing weight but keeping the promises they make to themselves.

I’m at a 3-day workshop for work. Every meal I’m eating over these 3 days was prepared before I left. Not because I’m obsessed because I know what happens when you leave important decisions until you’re hungry, tired, busy, or stressed.

You make emotional choices instead of intentional ones. Meal prep isn’t about chicken, rice and broccoli. It’s about reducing friction.

No wondering what to eat, no blowing money on convenience, no relying on motivation and no negotiating with yourself. Just execute the plan.

A lot of people think discipline is doing hard things. Most of the time, discipline is simply preparing in advance.

The work was done two days ago when I packed these meals. Now I just follow through.

“Your future is built by the standards you keep when nobody is watching.”

Carbs don’t make you fat. If they did, every athlete on the planet would be overweight.

The fitness industry has spent decades convincing people that bread, rice, pasta and potatoes are the problem when they’re not.

You know what’s funny? The same person terrified of eating a baked potato will happily smash a bottle of wine, a family block of chocolate and a takeaway meal on Saturday night and then blame carbs.

My prep for bodybuilding I went from 76kg to 63kg. Do you know what I ate every single day? Carbs and lots of them.

Rice, potatoes, cream of rice, fruit, honey oh and lots of honey 😂😂 because carbs aren’t the problem, overeating is.

The hard truth? Most people don’t want to hear that because if carbs are the problem, you can remove them. If your habits are the problem, you have to change and changing is harder than blaming bread.

Stop fearing carbs and start taking ownership.

Combat sports athletes are some of the hardest working people you’ll meet, but too many are trying to outwork a bad diet.

Extreme weight cuts, huge rebounds, low energy, poor recovery and constant fatigue.

Che went from bouncing between 73kg and 94kg to building a more sustainable approach with his nutrition, performance and habits.

No restriction, starvation or crazy unsustainable methods. Just structure, consistency and a methodical approach.

The goal isn’t just to make weight. It’s to feel good, perform better and build habits you can actually maintain long term.

DM ‘Ready’ if you’re looking to improve your performance or life.

Most people destroy their health trying to build a life, then spend the second half of life trying to rebuild their health.

Your body keeps score. The stress, poor sleep, skipped workouts and “I’ll start Monday.” It all compounds.

Take care of your body before consequence forces you to.

Most people don’t need another supplement, they need awareness.

The weekend blowouts, liquid calories, mindless snacking, oversized portions and the “I’ll start again Monday” cycle.

That’s what’s holding most people back. Fat loss doesn’t come from extremes. It comes from honesty and consistency repeated over time.

Track honestly, clean up liquid calories and create structure on weekends.

The basics work and most people just don’t stay consistent with them long enough.

The hardest part of growth isn’t the work, It’s the moment before the work.

The moment where fear, doubt, uncertainty and comfort all try to convince you to stay the same. People think courage looks fearless. It doesn’t.

Courage looks like showing up with a shaking nervous system and doing it anyway. Starting before you feel confident,
taking the step before you have proof it’ll work. Continuing when your mind wants to retreat to comfort.

Most people spend years waiting for clarity but clarity is often built through action, not before it.

The version of you you admire in your head?That person is built through reps, hard conversations, lonely seasons, failure, discipline, consistency and not certainty.

The art is learning how to move forward while fear is still in the car with you.

Hunger has been one of the greatest teachers of my life.

Not because starving yourself is impressive but because prolonged discomfort exposes your habits, emotions and coping mechanisms very quickly.

When calories get low and energy drops, you learn:
• how often you emotionally eat
• how uncomfortable boredom feels
• how much modern society depends on instant gratification
• how quickly people panic when discomfort appears

Most people are not physically starving, they are mentally reacting.

In bodybuilding prep, especially over 6–8 months, hunger becomes part of daily life. Some days it’s manageable, other days it feels painful. Learning to sit with controlled discomfort without immediately escaping it is a skill and that skill transfers into every area of life.

Discipline is not punishment, It’s emotional regulation. The ability to pause and not react to every craving, emotion or impulse immediately. That’s where real confidence gets built.

Not through motivation, through proving to yourself that discomfort does not control you.

Most people think fat loss food has to be bland, boring and miserable. It doesn’t.

This was my full day of eating the day before competing for an Australian Title in bodybuilding and honestly a lot of these meals slap 😂

Low calorie, high volume, easy to make and designed to keep me full while deep into prep.

Things like:

* Marshmallow freezer snacks
* Pickles for volume
* Coke Zero to help cravings
* Potato over rice for fullness
* High protein desserts
* Simple meals repeated consistently

That’s the stuff that actually helps people stay in a calorie deficit long enough to see results.

You do not need to suffer your way through fat loss. You need meals you can realistically repeat.

Save this for meal ideas next time you’re dieting 👊

If you need help with your nutrition, DM “READY”.

Stephen is a business owner, coach, father and now a proud grandfather.

He’s also a former high-level boxer, so once we built the foundations and gave him structure, he did the work.

That’s the part most people overlook. No magic, no shortcuts, no “perfect” motivation. Just consistency, accountability and better choices repeated over time.

In 13 weeks Stephen lost 10kg, improved his energy, reduced the constant cycle of eating out and built routines that supported both his physical and mental health.

What makes me most proud isn’t the weight loss. It’s the example he is setting for the people around him because now there are little eyes watching him.

Whether we realise it or not, our habits become someone else’s blueprint. The way we eat, the way we show up and the standards we accept.

Stephen is leading from the front and proving that healthy choices, structure and consistency can change not only your body, but your life. 👏

If you’re tired of the all-or-nothing cycle and ready to build something sustainable, DM me “READY”.
