My name is Darren. Together with my friend of 45yrs Master Elias, we run a small Hapkido school in Ashmore at the Ashmore factory outlets. Hapkido is a korean martial art which adaptable to all ages and physical capabilities. At this moment we are running adult classes every Tuesday and Thursday night 7pm to 8pm. ( 14yrs and up). Introducing Instructor Darren Howlett.
Training in the practice of Hapkido for over 25yrs, was also under the instruction of Grandmaster Geoff Booth before moving to Queensland where he began training under the instruction and guidance of Grandmaster Bermus Kim and Master Angus Uebergang. He has also completed in Demonstration and Technique pairs and team events in Australia and Korea.
Instructor Darren has studied multiple variations of Hapkido including Sin Moo Hapkido and most recently Moo Moo Kwan and been an active member of the GHA Global Hapkido Association.
Weapons studied include Korean Sword, Danbon, Staff and cane/ walking stick.

Introducing Master Elias Ishac

Training in the practice of Hapkido for over 25yrs and originally under the instruction of Grandmaster Geoff Booth in Sydney. Master Elias has travelled to the USA to trained with Master Fariborz and Grandmaster Ji Han Jae and competed in multiple demonstration events in Australia and the USA.
He has acquired a great number of skills and is a wealth of knowledge in the art of Hapkido. Master Elias has also adapted and incorporated his learnings with the additional skills obtained in the arts of multiple striking and Ju- Jitsu techniques.
Master Elias is also well versed in the art of such weapons as Numb Chuck, Staff, Danbon and Cane/Walking stick.
