Just me documenting my thoughts and shifts

and this week I was reflecting on some language shifts I have personally made

based on a conversation my husband and I were having…

I used to apologise for everything.

Sorry for the wait.

Sorry to bother you.

Sorry for taking up your time.

I said it so often I stopped hearing it,

and I never noticed that every one of those tiny words was quietly telling the room I would rather not be a problem

Here is what took me years to learn

The women I look up to are not louder than everyone else.

They have simply stopped softening themselves.

They say the same thing, they have just shifted the language.

Sorry for the wait became thank you for your patience.

Sorry for talking so much became thank you for listening.

I might be wrong, but… became here is my take.

Same message.

One shrinks you.

The other lifts you, and it lifts the person in front of you too.

If you are brilliant at what you do but still find yourself making yourself small in the in-between moments,

this one is for you.

You are never too much.

You are just in the habit of apologising for it.

Save this for the next time sorry tries to leave your mouth,

and give yourself permission to take up the space you have already earned.

I just lost 5kg in 5 weeks

And here's what most people get wrong about what comes next

No reverse diet. No slowly building our way back up, adding 50 calories a week and waiting on the scale to give us permission.

Just straight up. As high as we can take it without putting on fat.

If you delay going back up to maintenance

You delay resources

You delay your body to do its work

And in fact your hurting your hormone profile more

Your stopping your body creating that nice definition

I'm sitting at maintenance now, 3000 calories a day

STRAIGHT AFTER my deficit

Straight after losing 5kg in 5 weeks

And im keeping it off… it’s been 3 weeks now back at maintenance.

Training heavy in the 5 to 8 rep range

the body getting tighter while the food keeps going up

Im 4 months postpartum, still adding load under the bar week after week

The fat loss was never the hard part

Building a body that responds like this,

that can eat this much and keep getting more defined, is the whole game.

My mission is how can I eat as much as possible with keeping my abs

Not the mindset of how can I eat as little as possible?

Flip it

Thats whats freeing

No second guessing food. Not having to track everything that goes in.

Performance increases, stress reduces, live outside and inside the gym feels good!

this won't last long BUT

it will give you a sneak peak into your future self
