I used to think being overly sensitive was a flaw, until I realised it has brought me so many gifts.
Yes there are days when it can all get too much, which is why knowing how to nurture our sensitivity rather than try and get rid of it is powerful! I’ll be sharing all of this and more in my upcoming 3 Essential Skills For Finding Your Calm Workshop. Message me your interest to be the first to know when it’s released ✨

Our tricky brains can react to a perceived fear of the past repeating itself, or try and predict danger in the future. As a result we may find ourselves in a state of fight, flight, fear or freeze (the body’s main stress response)
To anchor ourselves, finding present moment safety is essential. It may not leave us feeling 100% calm, but it will leave us with the ability to make a choice that supports our wellbeing.
Whether it’s sensing what’s in the room and and connecting with our breath, grounding our feet down and noticing subtle movements in our body, noticing yourself sitting in your chair, having mindful sips of a glass of water, connecting with someone through sight or touch.
Right here right now, what can you notice in your awareness that makes you feel safe? 💙

These potent words guiding me into 2025 ✨👏🏼

The first day of 2025…
This little colouring in piece feels sentimental and very fitting for where I’m at right now.
Reminding me of what has blossomed in my life thus far, looking forward to what is yet to come and being at peace with what I have now.
A reminder here that if you have no goals or intentions or big dreams - that’s ok. You’ll find me nodding my head gently a lot to this.
Second slide is a piece from Thomas Moore’s ‘Care of the Soul’ which I’m currently reading thanks to my mentor .yoga.counselling . These words have really stuck with me the last few days as 2024 closed.
As I sat down with a friend yesterday and went deep into conversation, something I’ve long been trying to answer for a while recently came up through me as a resounding ‘yes’. A beautiful reminder for me that sometimes we just have to lean on that process of time and the richness of deeper curiosity.
Wishing you all love, rest, joy and care ❤️

I’ve had a few people mention how much they loved watching my mindful colouring in journey and where I bought my book from.
It brings me joy to see that many others feel the same and wanting to be more intentional with small acts of self-care, having spaces to breathe more slowly and notice the beauty that’s around us without always having to ‘search’ for it.
These words from .e.l.e.n.m.a.r.i.e is another beautiful reminder of that ❤️
I look forward to carving out a space online to share more of these thoughts next year - a community space for connecting with our nervous system.
