Hi Cooly Crew!!

It is with a mix of uncertainty and some hesitation that we have to announce that Beach Volleyball 4225 will be under review to assess its long-term viability from Monday 18th March. This will mean all coaching services (except the SCU program) will not continue to run from tomorrow and if you have credits from coaching passes, we will be in contact to issue refunds.

We have spent countless hours running numbers and analysing scenarios for the past few weeks and, to our surprise, over the last three months it has been challenging to justify the expenses incurred by our coaching sessions.

For many of us it has been a wonderful opportunity to share our time training, playing, socialising, or just having a good time on the courts with the sport that we all love. It has also been for some of us the escape from work, the time to get active, the chance to become a better player, or simply a way to show that we are a bit of a beach addict!

We will be in contact once this process is finished. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us in the meantime.

Thank you all for everything.
It’s been a blast. 🙏

Bring your water bottles with you and see you this afternoon on the courts!

As the courts resemble more like a game of pick up sticks Learn & Play + Ninjas session is cancelled today due to athlete safety.

The council tractors 🚜 should be through Tuesday morning to clean up the mess. We will reschedule the session for tomorrow evening 5-6:30pm.

See you all there!

*note this pic was yesterday - much worse today!

No Training This Weekend // ⛈

The super high tide and 10ft swell got the courts yesterday and this mornings will be much worse... so much debri on the courts and with 85km/hr winds currently it’s safe to say it may be an inside weekend!!

This story is important for all young athletes to read and absorb. Jarrah started training with me 2 and a half years ago, having not played beach volleyball. He was athletic, had a desire to learn and worked damn hard. He missed out on the first State Team he trialed for, was in the 3rd team when he did get selected the year later. There was much disappointment, tears and ups and downs.

Whilst often overlooked as a younger player as he’s not a tall player, instead of complaining, blaming or giving up, what he did do was work on all the elements he could control until selectors had no choice but to pick him!

Jarrah Brownhill, super proud to say that you will be repping the Aussie uniform at the U21 Asian Champs!! Keep working hard, focusing on what’s in your control and playing with such passion! 🙌
