Team Sly. Dj Syn and Misseloura join forces to create a dj duo. Team Sly is a husband and wife dj duo, originating from Sydney, Australia.
Their dj journey has been across many genres, with their main focus these days being on hard house. They met in 2008, and played a b2b vinyl hard trance set at a popular Sydney CBD club named ‘Club Energy’. There was a strong attraction between the pair, and they shortly after started dating. It was a number of years until they officially became ‘Team Sly’, playing gigs both b2b and separately as
their individual aliases, Dj Syn and Misseloura. Team Sly came about by accident one day, they were booked to play a park party in 2013, and the promoter had dubbed them as ‘Team Sly’ on the flyer. The name kind of stuck after that and they moved away from their individual aliases and put all their focus into their new branding. A move to QLD in late 2013 saw a fresh start for Team Sly. Playing all sort of styles from hard trance, hard house through to hardstyle and UK hardcore, the duo played many parties in QLD for promoters such as hardEDM, SHOKK, Evolution and Eden. Team Sly began hosting their own events in Brisbane in 2015, with a large focus on multi genre events including local, interstate and international dj’s. Their branded event ‘Heaven & Hell’ was a great success in Brisbane, with a great mix of light and dark genres to fit the theme. They also hosted several RVRS BASS branded parties in Brisbane.
2015 also saw a resurgence into the NSW scene for Team Sly, playing at various popular Sydney Clubs such as Masif Saturdays, Club Rehab, One Seventy & Rocket Science. They also featured several times at Cube, Canberra. Team Sly have supported many big names in the harder styles scenes, including Isaac, Kutski, Frontliner, Adrenalize, Atmozfears, Mark Breeze, Francesco Zeta, Dj Thera, Luca Antolini, Steve Hill, Cally, Brisk, Hixxy, Binary Finary & Paul Glazby.
2016 and 2017 saw Team Sly move into the reverse bass charts with a few tracks, both hitting number one in the reverse bass charts on track it down. Tunes released: Ed E.T & DTR vs Team Sly – Move Your Body (Blutonium Records), Lux Delano & Team Sly – Just F (Blutonium Records). They also released many free reverse bass bootlegs and edits, which you can find on their soundcloud. Late 2017 was a time of change for Team Sly, with them making the decision to move away from harder styles and put their energy into hard house. This was a re-launch for Team Sly, with a fresh start on running events, djing and production. In 2018 Team Sly began hosting Beatwave, a Brisbane event which is focused on bringing the hard house scene to life in QLD, bringing in dj’s and punters from across Australia and New Zealand to gather to celebrate this genre. Beatwave has been a huge success, and Team Sly are looking forward to continuing to grow this brand in QLD.
2019 saw Team Sly play overseas for the first time, playing for Atomic Sushi in Scarborough, supporting Guyver & Amber D, and playing on the Vinyl Warriors Boat Party in London. They have released several tracks, Alf Graham vs Team Sly – Broken Bones, Kirk P vs Team Sly – Feel The Love, and Matt Clarkson vs Team Sly ft Sam Sly – Find Me. All tracks have hit number 1 in the Toolbox Digital Charts. Team Sly is excited for the remainder of 2019 and moving into 2020, with several new releases scheduled to drop to labels soon (tracks include Team Sly – Feel Right & Team Sly – I Wanna Love. You can also catch Team Sly back in the UK in May 2020 for the kHHA Boat Party! For more information and updates on Team Sly, follow their page – www.facebook.com/teamslydjs
