As a Musical Theatre gal myself, I personally feel that it’s the most fun you can have on stage as a performer … it’s ELECTRIC and there is no other feeling like it!

As the owner of KM, I am so excited to see the magic that Lauren creates with our KM Stars 🌟
We now get to see them evolve deeper as they travel down yet another pathway, and through another window of opportunity, that KM provides.

Lauren is still performing professionally in the industry today, so to have such fresh and up to date knowledge passed down to our kids, is invaluable.

I believe that some of my kids are set for very bright futures, on the biggest of stages ….
So here’s to making it all happen and setting strong foundations nice and early 🎉✨

Women Changing The World Global Awards

I have spent the last few months floating around with the biggest smile on my face, and a heart full of pride.
I have felt like the biggest winner, even without this.

To be amongst such empowering and inspirational women, of such high caliber, has given me the chance
to connect.
Not only professionally, but also with myself.

A chance to step back and realise how far I have actually come.

To be recognised worldwide, on a Global stage, amongst these extrodinary women from around the world … in PARIS !!!

I mean … cummon … what a dream!

I should actually be in Paris right now, celebrating and soaking all of this up … but I chose to put my kids, and patients, as a priority.

I have vulnerable kids that are very much dependent on me through their treatments right now, and so I chose to be here for them.

With a whopping 9 hour time difference, meant that I was watching the live stream of the award ceremony, tucked up in my bed … through the middle of the night.

When I was announced as the SILVER WINNER …
I thought I was dreaming at first …

“I’m just overtired” I thought.

But it seems that I actually, in fact, did win!

It was not a dream, what it is …

A result of a lifelong passion to change the world through my work.

To create a ripple effect of change in my field, and the resilience, determination & fire to never ever give up … even when that would have been so much easier.

The choice to bend with my obstacles and challenges, instead of breaking.

And the choice to back myself, when there was nobody else in this world to do that for me.

I feel seen.

I feel heard.

I feel that I can take on the world.

I feel that im truly making this world a better place … one kid at a time … I am in fact … changing the world.

And, I feel that i’m only just getting started.

The little girl me would be so VERY proud.

I’m doing this for her just as much as I am for all other children around the world.

It was the sweetest afternoon, with the KM framework captured perfectly, through inclusivity and FUN!
Allowing the children to lead the shoot, with their individual creativity, will forever be my favourite part of shooting day 🩷💛🌈
All I ever want out of any kind of professional media shooting days, is authenticity 💛🩷
Providing this outlet, where my kids can be captured fully being themselves, will always be my priority.

EXCITING NEWS FOR STUDIO STUDENTS 📣‼️

I am thrilled to announce that our Senior & ADV Senior studio students will be introduced to Professional Musical Theatre Industry Workshops, with the highly reputable & global sensation, .beatson.official 🎉🎭✨

Lauren will be working with our students each term, to prepare them for our end of year showcase, as well as for future professional audition opportunities 🎬

BIO -

With over 15 years of industry experience, Lauren began her career at just nine years old, playing the title role in Annie, under the musical direction of Little Pattie. Her career has since taken her across Australia and around the world — touring the USA with the Australian Dance Ensemble and later spending two years living and performing at Universal Studios Beijing. Since returning home, Lauren has followed her passion for mentoring young performers, working as Co-Creative Director, Musical Director, and Choreographer with Elements Theatre Co., alongside her ongoing professional performing career. You can still catch Lauren performing across South East Queensland as she continues to share her love of the arts with the community.

WORKSHOP BIO -

Lauren is so excited to bring her wealth of knowledge to the Kids Moves Company. Her workshops are designed to grow each student’s musical skills and confidence in a fun, supportive, and judgement-free space where everyone is encouraged to shine.
Focusing on all things singing and musical theatre, students will explore breathing techniques, vocal anatomy, practical voice work, song analysis, and performance skills. Each session builds towards a well-rounded musical theatre performance, helping students learn how to truly act through song.

In these workshops students will learn:

✨Breathing techniques: teaching students all about the dyaphram and how to use their breath to support their voice. 

✨Vocal fold and articulation warm up exercises.

✨Pitch accuracy through song

✨Song analysis: discissing the character, why the character is singing, what the characters are singing about and how the characters feel while singing the song. 

✨All leading to a musical theatre style of acting
