And just like that, we draw 2025 to a close 🤍

This year stretched me in ways I never expected. Mentally, emotionally, personally. There were moments I questioned everything, moments where showing up felt heavy, and moments where the year did not unfold how I thought it would. But somehow, through all of that, this has been the biggest year of JFHF in 13 years and that honestly blows my mind.

That does not happen alone. It happens because of you. The ones who trusted me with your journey, the ones who joined programs, booked sessions, liked a post, shared a reel, sent a message, checked in, or spoke my name in rooms I was not in. The loud support and the quiet support both mattered more than you will ever realise.

JFHF is what it is because of this community. Because of the belief, the trust, and the shared growth. Thank you for backing me, believing in me, and walking alongside me this year. I am forever grateful, and I cannot wait to keep growing with you in 2026 🤍

Let’s Reset the Noise for a Second 🤍

If you’re waking up today feeling a bit off…
A bit bloated, sluggish, foggy, or mentally beating yourself up over Christmas I want you to pause right here.

Nothing has gone wrong.
Nothing needs to be “fixed.”
And you definitely don’t need to punish yourself.

This is not a diet.
This is a lifestyle and lifestyles don’t collapse because of a few meals, a few days, or a festive season spent actually living your life.

Christmas is food.
Christmas is connection.
Christmas is rest, joy, laughter, late nights, full plates, and full hearts.

And now… we gently return.

Not with restriction.
Not with “I’ll be good now.”
Not with shame, guilt, or overcorrection.

But with structure, consistency, and self trust.

Here’s what “getting back on track” actually looks like

• Drink your water
• Eat your protein
• Add colour and fibre back to your plate
• Move your body because it feels good
• Get back into your normal routines
• Back to tracking again if tracking serves you
• Sleep, breathe, reset

That’s it.
No detox.
No cutting carbs.
No “earning” food.
No starting again on Monday.

You don’t start again you simply continue.

Progress isn’t about perfection.
It’s about how quickly you return to your anchors after life happens.

And life will keep happening.

This phase right now?
It’s not about fat loss.
It’s not about control.
It’s about reminding your nervous system that you are safe, capable, and consistent even when things aren’t perfect.

If your mind is trying to spiral, that doesn’t mean you’re weak.
It means you’re human.

Your job isn’t to be flawless.
Your job is to show up anyway.

One meal.
One walk.
One training session.
One choice that aligns with who you’re becoming.

✨ You don’t need to diet forever to change your body. You just need the right phase, at the right time. ✨

Shelly has been training with me for years. Strong, consistent, committed.
Like many women stepping into perimenopause, she started noticing changes that felt frustrating and unfamiliar stubborn weight around her midsection, feeling “off” in her body, and no matter what she tried… the scale and mirrors just wouldn’t budge.

I never force nutritional coaching.
But I said to her “If you trust me and give me 12 weeks, I know you’ll see what your body is capable of.”
Trust the process. Trust the timing.

Fast-forward 12 weeks
🔥 She looks INSANE.
But more importantly she feels strong, confident, and back in control of her body again.

We ran a structured 12-week calorie deficit, tailored to her hormones, lifestyle, training and recovery. No extremes. No punishment. Just strategy.

The festive season is officially here and I know how easy it is to feel like everything gets a bit chaotic. Routines shift, events fill the calendar and suddenly it feels harder to stay connected to your goals. I want you to know this one thing. You can enjoy the holidays and still feel grounded, supported and proud of yourself.

This time of year is not about perfection. It is about intention. When you choose simple habits that help you feel good from the inside out, everything becomes easier. Drink your water. Eat meals that actually satisfy you. Move your body because it lifts your energy, not because you feel you have to. Check in with yourself before you check in with anything else.

And please remember that balance always wins. You are allowed to enjoy the Christmas treats. You are allowed to say yes to the moments that light you up. One meal or one event does not undo your progress. What matters is how you speak to yourself and how you choose to show up the next day.

Protect your energy, honour your boundaries and give yourself permission to rest when you need it. You deserve to feel calm, confident and present as you move through this season. I am right here with you.

Do you know the effects that stress has on your body?

Stress and digestion are deeply connected and your body feels it long before you notice the signs. If you have been feeling bloated, sluggish, low in energy or just not quite yourself, this may be your body asking for support rather than discipline.

When stress stays high for too long, your body moves into survival mode. It diverts energy away from digestion, slows stomach acid, reduces enzyme production and interrupts the communication between your gut and your brain. This is why you might feel heavy after meals, struggle with regularity or feel constantly hungry even after eating.

Your key mood and motivation neurotransmitters, serotonin and dopamine, are also affected. When they drop, so does your drive, your focus and your ability to feel grounded and steady. You are not lazy and you are not failing. Your body is overwhelmed.

The good news is that small, realistic choices make a world of difference. Adding more variety on your plate. Choosing meals with colour and protein. Drinking enough water. Protecting your sleep routine. Gentle movement to reduce tension. Slow moments to breathe and regulate your nervous system.
