The Carrara Saints are proud to be home to the Gold Coast’s only dedicated disability-inclusive AFL team, providing people aged 14+ with the opportunity to play footy, build confidence, develop skills, form lasting friendships, and be part of a welcoming community.

This Saturday, Sam Owen, better known to everyone as Chromey, will become the first player in Carrara Saints history to reach 200 senior games.

Fourteen years of pulling on the red, white and black. Fourteen years of never taking a backward step.

Our club’s motto is Strength Through Loyalty, and no one embodies it better.

From missing our inaugural premiership through injury, to leading the Reserves to their maiden flag as captain last season, Chromey has been there through every chapter of this club’s journey. His resilience, grit and determination have earned the respect of every teammate he’s played alongside.

One teammate summed it up perfectly:

“Hitting 200 games is no small feat. You never took a backward step, always competed hard, backed your mates, and to top it off with a premiership, I couldn’t be happier for you. The club is better for having you, and anyone who’s shared the field with you knows it.”

Chromey has always stood tall when the contest was at its toughest. The boys have proudly followed him into battle against the best sides on the coast, knowing exactly what they’d get every single week.

Congratulations on an incredible milestone, mate. A club record, a premiership player, a captain, and a true Carrara Saints legend.

This Saturday, we celebrate a huge milestone as Luke “Speedy” O’Neill runs out for his 50th game with the Carrara Saints!
Speedy has proudly represented AFL Queensland on 8 occasions in the Queensland Open team and has also worn the jersey with pride at the National Inclusion Carnival, an outstanding achievement that reflects his talent, determination, and love for the game.
But anyone who knows Speedy knows he’s more than just pace on the field.
He brings relentless energy, heart, and passion every time he pulls on the Saints jumper. His loyalty to Carrara Saints, dedication to his teammates, and commitment to our club and community make him an inspiration to everyone around him.
Whether he’s chasing down the footy, encouraging a teammate, or proudly representing our club on the biggest stages, Speedy embodies everything the Saints stand for.
Congratulations on your 50-game milestone, Speedy! Thank you for your passion, your commitment, and for showing us all what it means to wear the red, white and black with pride.

A huge thank you to every member of the Carrara Saints community who donated essential items through our Outside the Locker Room community drive.

This week we were proud to hand over the donations to Nerang Neighbourhood Centre, where they’ll go directly to local children, individuals and families who need them most.

Thank you to Power Up Kids for supplying the Essential Item Bin and helping make this initiative possible.

We’re incredibly proud of what our club can achieve when we come together. Footy is about more than what happens on the field, it’s about looking after our community.

The Saints head south this Saturday for a big clash against Coolangatta Blues.

Coolangatta are always tough on their home deck, and we know exactly what’s waiting for us. The challenge is there. The opportunity is there.

Now it’s about bringing the pressure, winning the contest, and playing Saints footy from the first bounce to the final siren.

A dominant performance from our Seniors, running out 75-point winners after four quarters of relentless pressure, hard running and unselfish football.

From the first bounce the boys were switched on, winning the contest, moving the ball with purpose and making the most of their opportunities in front of goal.

The scoreboard tells one story, but the effort, discipline and team-first attitude behind it was what stood out most.

Another four points in the bank and another step forward as this group continues to build.
