There’s something special about seeing a group of kids belt out the club song together.
The smiles, the excitement, the friendships, and the feeling of being part of a team.
That’s what junior footy is all about.
Well done to our Under 8s for another fantastic week.

⛳ GOLF FOR A GREAT CAUSE
On Friday, 24 July 2026, Gimbal Training will host its inaugural Golf Day Tournament, with all funds raised supporting the Carrara Saints Inclusion Team.
The Carrara Saints proudly operate the Gold Coast’s only dedicated disability-inclusive AFL team, providing people aged 14+ with the opportunity to play footy, build confidence, develop skills, form friendships, and be part of a supportive community.
We’re currently seeking businesses and community partners who would like to sponsor the event and help make a real difference.
As a sponsor, you’ll receive:
• Recognition as an official Golf Day sponsor
• Brand exposure through event marketing
• Opportunity to display signage on the day
• Alignment with a meaningful community initiative that changes lives
Most importantly, you’ll be helping create opportunities for people with disabilities to participate, connect, and thrive through sport.
If your business would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.
Together, we can make this a fantastic day both on and off the course.

🖤💛❤️ MORE THAN A JERSEY.
For Sir Doug Nicholls Round, our Senior and Reserve teams proudly wore a guernsey designed by Senior player Brett Kelly.
A design that represents culture, family, community and connection.
“The inspiration behind my design was bringing both my tribe and the local tribe together on one jersey.”
On the left side sits Gwonda, the dolphin. An ancestral spirit of the Yugambeh people. The artwork tells the story of Gwonda helping community by bringing fish into Tallebudgera Creek.
On the right side are two handprints representing Brett’s daughters, Nala and Yindi.
Watching over them is the sea eagle, Brett’s totem from the Arakwal people of Byron Bay. A symbol of protection, guidance and strength.
“The sea eagle flies over us looking after us and guiding us through life.”
Flowing through the design are pathways and rivers representing the Nerang River and the coming together of players, families and the Carrara Saints community.
Those pathways lead into the centre of the design. A football field.
A place where people from different backgrounds, stories and walks of life come together as one.
“No matter who you are or where you come from, you’re accepted into this community. That’s what I wanted to put across. We all come from different places, but once a Saint, always a Saint.”
For Brett, the guernsey carries something even deeper.
“It’s more than just a jersey.”
“Yes, you’re representing me and my daughters. But you’re also representing 40,000 years of history.”
“When we run out in these jerseys, it’s not just me out there. There’s 40,000 years of history and all my ancestors out there doing battle with us.”
Brett ties culture into everything he does.
“Every time I step onto the field with my brothers, I feel like my ancestors are watching me play and fight on the land they once battled on and survived from.”
A phenomenal design.
A powerful story.
A reminder that football can bring people together, honour culture, and create connection that runs deeper than the game itself.

Carrara Saints Inclusions get it done in Wicks Memorial Round.
CAFC 7.6.48 defeated Noosa 3.5.23.
A special day made even more meaningful as Fred and Tracey Wicks presented the WICKS Memorial Trophy to our very own Cody.
A proud moment for Cody, our club, and everyone involved.
Wicks Memorial Round is about remembering our much-loved teammate, Hudson Wicks. A chance to honour his memory, celebrate his impact on those around him, and come together through the game and club community he was such an important part of.
The day stands for mateship, connection, inclusion, and remembering those who leave a lasting mark on our club.
Well done to all involved in a fantastic day and congratulations again to Cody on receiving this special honour.

Final words from the coaches.
Then it was time to play.
Our Under 9s locked in before the game. A few reminders. A bit of belief. A focus on effort, teamwork and playing the Carrara way.

Our Under 8s having a pre-game chat from this week’s captain before taking the field.
The message was simple.
Play for each other. Work hard. Have fun. And make the teammates who couldn’t be there today proud.
That’s what footy is about.
Team first. Effort for your mates. Growing together every week.
