Well done to the team at Sword Fight VIII.
Thank you to all our members and supporters who volunteered so much of their time to make sure the event was a success.

Competitively we had a great run. SF was an event stacked with talent. It was the highest rated rapier comp in Australian history, the highest rated sidesword comp, and the largest URG/women’s comp in Australian history. Well done to our podium and top 8 finishers, but also, well done to every club mate and sparring partner who does their best at training to build themselves and their mates up. Fencing is a team sport, and a rising tide lifts all ships.

Now that Sword Fight is over for another year we would like to thank everyone for the herculean effort last weekend. It was a massive weekend with 60 competitors from 18 different clubs fencing it out in 5 divisions. All up, we had a total of 640 recorded matches and it was amazing to see our podiums had a true cross-section of Australian HEMA with 4 different states represented in the top spots!

In our presentation we expressed our deep thankyous to all of the amazing volunteers that made the event possible, once again thank you for everything!
