Community Concepts flagship not-for-profit project Gold Coast Open Water Swimming Club operates all
The Gold Coast's first Open Water Swimming Club is open to all swimmers that want to be social and participate in OWS. Our goal is to help like minded people with a passion for the ocean swim together and/or train for OWS. We also hold some OWS Events, such as the festival of Ocean swimming and the Red Carpet 10km Burleigh Heads to Surfers Paradise Ocean Swim.

2 weeks to go before we head off to Melbourne,
Thx to those that have contributed to this campaign we have raised approximately $700 but we need $2000 to cover the immediate costs of airfares and accommodation to Melbourne.

THE POOL screening at Byron Bay Film Festival, Sunday 20 October 5pm & Saturday 26 October 5pm
Hello,
I’m contacting you regarding THE POOL which is a film about us – swimmers and people who love the water. It’s about connection and community, swimming both recreationally and competitively in pools and open water.
We would like to share information about this fantastic film with your members, as THE POOL is coming to the Byron Bay Film Festival for two screenings this October!
Palace Byron Bay Sunday 20th October at 5.00pm
Palace Ballina Fair on Saturday 26th October at 5pm
We would really appreciate Gold Coast Open Water Swimming Club to help spread the word about the film with your members via social media, private newsletter or WhatsApp groups as appropriate.

the Saturday and Sunday swims for this weekend and next weekend is at Southport surf club in Main beach at 8 am. Due to the World championships are at Kurrawa
Also as of Monday 2 September the midweek swims start at 8 am Monday wednesday Friday and 6 am for Tuesday and Thursday

There is another event running alongside the GC Marathon, it's called the GCOWS 22.5km Drink Stations. An amazingly frantic hub of volunteer teamwork keeping thousands of athletes hydrated. Awesome work TEAM GCOWS.
