I never imagined I'd one day be speaking to groups, facilitating workshops, and creating spaces where others feel safe to be themselves.
It happened because I learned new ways of understanding myself, caring for my nervous system, and connecting with others. Here's a bit of that story.
I've been coaching for almost 9 years now. Enrolling in a coaching certification was actually my first real introduction to personal development — it felt like an easy, natural entry point at the time. I'd already had a few cultural journeys behind me (France, the Pacific Islands, and then Korea), and I'd started finding my public speaking voice through Toastmasters. From there, I went inward — exploring the sometimes-dark corners of my own mind, learning about myself, deepening my inner connection, and building real inner support. That work helped me show up more boldly in the world, understand what confidence actually feels like, connect more deeply with others, and just feel more like me.
Along the way, I pushed myself past my limits with coaching, and breathwork became part of how I healed and recovered. I enrolled in a breathwork certification and learned about the nervous system and the incredible power of the breath. It helped me process emotions I'd been holding onto in my body and gave me real tools for finding more calm in everyday life.
And then there's community — I keep coming back to it. I've been a natural organiser since I was young, coordinating events and building communities, and I spent decades working in the community development sector. So it makes sense that once again, community is where I found healing — this time connecting with adoptees from around the world, building friendships in a space where we understand each other in a way that goes beyond words.
In the last few years, all these worlds have collided. I'm now bringing coaching, breathwork, and community connection together to support adoptees, and I've been invited to deliver an Intercountry Adoptee Lived Expertise workshop, hosted by the wonderful Meseret — a fellow intercountry adoptee and coach.
In this session, I'll share my personal journey, what I've learned along the way, and how I now weave together coaching, breathwork, and community connection to help others — including within the adoptee community — to:
• Develop a deeper connection with themselves
• Build confidence and authenticity
• Better understand and regulate their nervous systems
• Create meaningful connections with others
• Support healing and personal growth in sustainable way
Whether you're curious about these approaches or just looking for new ways to support your own wellbeing, I hope this conversation brings you practical insights, hope, and encouragement use the link to register.

If you are wondering about the details of my trip to Seoul last month. I wasn't just a presenter at the Overseas Korean Adoptees Gathering 2026, I represented ICAV made a contribution to policy recommendations to the Korean Government, met a bunch of really cool people and more. Check out my article.
Thank you so much Lynelle Long for the opportunity to write an article for ICAV 🫶🏼

These photos are from my breathwork session for 94 fellow Korean adoptees in Seoul at the Overseas Korean Adoptees Gathering last month.
It was such a beautiful experience! I want to make the experience of a breathwork journey available to as many people as possible.
It's an opportunity to be guided so you can rest the body, release the mind and somatically release emotions or tension. Every time you breath you can feel a different experience. Sometimes it's relaxing, sometimes it's intense and transformative and lets be honest, sometimes it's uncomfortable.
Every month I do a free online group breathwork session. It's for people of all experience levels. YOU are welcome. (I encourage you to do it from bed, couch or yoga mat.)
If you want to release some heavy emotion and open to more abundance, this session is for you.
