πΎ Tennis is for every child, especially those with autism πΎ
Tennis is more than just a sport β it can be a powerful tool for supporting children with disability such as autism to grow, connect, and thrive ππ§‘ππ
Some of the incredible benefits include:
β¨ Improves coordination & motor skills
The structured, repetitive movements in tennis help develop balance, timing, and overall body awareness.
β¨ Builds routine & predictability
Tennis sessions often follow a clear structure, which can be comforting and help children feel safe and confident.
β¨ Supports social connection
Whether working one-on-one with a coach or in small groups, tennis creates opportunities to practise communication and build relationships in a low-pressure environment.
β¨ Enhances focus & emotional regulation
Tracking the ball and following simple instructions can improve concentration, while physical activity helps manage stress and energy levels.
β¨ Boosts confidence & independence
Learning new skills, achieving goals, and experiencing success on the court can have a huge impact on self-esteem.
β¨ Adaptable for every child
Tennis can be modified to suit individual needs β from slower balls to smaller courts β making it effectively inclusive.
Every child deserves the chance to play, learn, and belong. π«

Working on strength and stability in the gym can be fun! πͺπ»π€Έ
Adults and children with disability can experience difficulty across a range of physical areas.
Low muscle tone and hypermobility can be common and result in difficulty with
- motor planning / coordination
- body awareness
- balance
- core and postural stability
Often additional support in these areas is required to develop the motor skills necessary to be able to effectively participate in sporting activities.
Every person with a disability presents uniquely which is why individualised programs are required to best support your athlete to succeed in disability sport πΎ

πΎ Inclusive Tennis Programs πΎ
Giving your child or young person with disability the most supportive start to inclusive sport βοΈ
We understand that to be most effective, inclusive programs need to be individualised based on the goals and needs of the individual. These programs are a guide as to what tennis specific services we may be able to provide. We often combine these services with Physiotherapy, aquatic physiotherapy / hydrotherapy and gym based training sessions depending on what approach best suits our kids and young adults to achieve their sports specific and functional goals.
For more information or to discuss what your individualised program might look like, please contact us on 0400 422 492 or email [email protected]

Implementing the skills that we learn in our lessons can be tricky, especially in a competitive situation. Thatβs why we are bringing in social (FUN) match play sessions for our kids. Itβs important to be able to put our skills into game practice, but itβs easier when thereβs less pressure and lots of support π©΅π§‘π
Contact us now to put your name down for our fun match play sessions. Families are welcome to join in too π
