A personal photo from Hanshi O’Connor which shows our deep rooted Lineage from Okinawa. In the centre of this special old photo is Chibana Choshin Sensei. O’Sensei Takahashi was his student (Deshi) in the early days. Hanshi Garry O’Connor is a direct student (Deshi) under O’Sensei Takahashi.

We here at the Queensland Shibu dojo are dedicated to continuing the art of Takahashi Ha Ryu Kyu Shuri Te Karate Do.
Our two Senior Sempai train and have been graded directly under Hanshi Garry O’Connor, Judan, at Hombu Dojo in the Alpine region of Victoria, Australia.
We are fully registered under Hanshi O’Connor and continue this time honoured lineage that originated from Okinawa and Japan.
If you are genuinely interested in learning traditional Karate Do from our rich lineage, founded by O’Sensei Takahashi Kentsu(1900-1994) in 1953, than we welcome you to join us in this wonderful traditional art at our Mudgeeraba Dojos.
