Immediate start | Summer work
Jungle Float runs two activity boats from D’Albora Marina, The Spit to Clontarf and Balmoral each day. Kids swim out and use the boat’s swings, trampolines, diving and slide equipment.
We are relaunching ASAP and need staff for the full summer.
We need:
Skippers (min 4): must have Coxswain Cert 3 or higher
Crew (min 4): preferably have a Bronze Medallion / lifesaving qualification
Urgent shift: Sunday 30 November
Season: 7 days a week from Saturday 6 November to Sunday 1 February
(except Christmas Day)

An exciting opportunity is available at our Marina and charter fleet in Lavender Bay,
North Sydney, in front of Luna Park. Work on the world's most beautiful harbour with a
range of cruising and sailing experiences. Skippered yacht and cruise charter, bareboat
charter, team building activities, romantic sailing getaways, daily sails, and tours.
We are looking for casual skippers and deckhands to join our team today for the
2025/26 summer season. All shifts are a minimum of 4-hr and a lot of double shifts
during weekends.
Duties will include:
● Cleaning and general maintenance of Vessels and Marina.
● Driving tender boat from the wharf to moorings.
● Casual deckhand shifts.
● Casual skipper cruises after being trained.
● Assisting the Captain with docking, mooring and sailing procedures.
● Food and beverage service for guests
Requirements for success:
● Skippers: minimum Coxswain grade 1NC and experience in Sydney Harbour
● Deckhands: minimum General Purpose Hand (GPH) Certificate of Competency
or STCW95
● Availability to do shifts during weekends.
● Sailing and/or boating experience is a must.
● Ability to drive or learn how to drive different type of power boats and sailboats.

Duties will include:

Driving tender boat from the wharf to moorings.

Casual skipper cruises after being trained.

Description
As a Hydrographer, you will carry out and co-ordinate a range of water related monitoring services under the guidance of senior staff to deliver high quality and innovative client outcomes. This role includes a focus on coastal, boating and dive support work along with managing associated plant and equipment.
To be successful in this role you will be able to address the roles and responsibilities listed below:
You will be a motivated, multi-skilled (trade background advantageous), and organised individual with a desire to work in the field to collect coastal, water and environmental data.
You will have demonstrated work experience working in natural systems, including in and around water, boating (Coxswain Certification), diving and attention to detail.
You will have an ability to develop skills in a hydrographic data capture operating network, including real time data processes, instrumentation and software.
You will thrive in a team environment and have strong communication and collaboration skills to work across the business.
You will enjoy problem solving, technology, and be willing and able work in remote locations and undertake travel (Drivers Licence required).
You will be able to demonstrate competency in working safely in and around water and be adept in field work with manual handling.
· Willingness and capacity to demonstrate swimming ability (up to 200m) in Royal Life Saving Society staff assessments (approx. every 2 years)
